Dark back with a silver/ white belly is my most successful jig. Yamashita NKN to be exact. Its a silver mullet colour. I think that's followed by the white jig (can be basic or the shimano flash boost in it). I got a ns black hole egi 8'3" rod recently. Only caught a few pinkies and whiting so far on it, super keen to get some squid 👍.
I'm also subscribed to "Huntlife". Without fail lately you two guys put your videos up the same days within the hr lol. Thanks for another great video Nev much appreciated.
Another great video mate. Any chance you could tell me what type of lowrance sounder is on your kayak, or if you have any tips on an affordable sounder for my tinny that i use to fish depths up to 60 metres
I love your Squid jigging videos they always entertain and educate and give me the will power to have another go especially since Newhaven pier was shut down
Great squid Nev. I have found its best to net them from behind. That way when they jet away they put themselves into the net. Also, to stop them inking you, just pick them out of the net and hold them head down over the side. If there is no water in their body then they can't squirt you 8-)

This is Australia Armstrong. On a map you can see a state called Victoria in the south east of the country, below the capital city Melbourne there are two bays, the one to the east is Western Port bay and this is where Nev is fishing.

how does the sleeper jig work do you have a float on it to avoid snags?

How do u catch small or big squid how do u know where to go
By using lures and fishing for hours on end to find the right spots

I use uni knots for squidding. Easy to tie, don't need anything too fancy
