Unfortunately, during my visit to the Intrepid, their iconic Concorde that they usually have on display on a nearby pier was under repair! I’ll have to revisit someday soon 🤔
what will you do during christmas meaby make a special?
Droop snoot
I went in there recently (6 years ago), and its pretty much a standard concorde lol
its at brooklyn navy yard
I actually went when it was still open!
I was actually on the museum when I went to nyc very nice tour, it was so cool seeing such iconic aircraft as the a12, f4, f14, Concorde… up close. They also had an expo about star treck near the space shuttle, it was amazing to see all that living history at the same place. I also did the tour of the USS Growler, the submarine next to the Intrepid, really enjoyed my trip to nyc.
It’s a museum sure worth visiting!
@@ice711real Can we have a spoiler on your next video?
yep

I went here a few months ago. Sadly the Concorde wasn’t there but I did get to see one at the Udvar Hazy museum.
That's awesome, a WW2 carrier turned into a great museum of great aircraft, and some really cool aircraft.
Hey! I am a New Yorker, and I have been here countless times, great video! I def recommend going back when they bring the concord back from its short restoration. I got to go inside it! Also next time check out the lower decks, there is a lot there too! Great vid!
Glad to hear the kind words! I checked out the lower decks as well, but I usually don’t make my videos super in-depth, hence why I didn’t film anything there. I’ll certainly have to come back…
I think there is a lego recreation of the intrepid inside too.
4:12 best aircraft there 🗿
4:50 i've sat in a phantom, it was at this cool little aircraft museum in Ireland which i go to when i visit my grandparents, i also sat in a Tornado, Buccaneer, Tucano, Canberra and a really nice replica spitfire.
Wow I bet it was awesome
Nice!
The amount of different and crazy aircraft they’ve got here is just wow 🤩🤩

The legendary Pigeon 69a, a marvelous feat of engineering. It's almost organic. Top speed: 92.5 mph. Released: at the beginning of time. The Pigeon 69a has the old wing flap technology that increases lift, the don't require engines! The have hollow structures and feathers for less weight! They fly around in groups doing surveillance over NYC, London, Paris, Venice, and more! They are also known as, "Sky Rats". They refuel on bread or any other possible foods to eat, they have experienced almost 360 degree cameras. SO ADVANCED! Much WOW!
7:00 the slight trace of damage on the left wing was from after the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster. The investigators wanted to recreate a piece of foam striking the wing of a shuttle (As that's what they suspected happened to Columbia), so it was tested on Enterprise
Hey that 1st ones me!!
No it’s your weird cousin the a 12

Went on it a little while ago. I recommend it to anyone whos ineterested in Aviation or History. Great Video!
The Intruder is one of my all time favorites. The side-by-side configuration looks awesome with it.
Incredible planes! I need to come here!
that looks cool ive actually been to NYC before and went plane spotting at jfk and saw some really cool planes such as an EgyptAir 777 and aer Lingus a320!
I remember going there for my 9th birthday… 10 years ago! Definitely planning on going again soon.
I’ve been at the intrepid for events in the past, really nice to see you enjoying it!
I visited the Intrepid Air & Space Museum when I was a little kid. Watching this brings back a lot of memories. Thanks Ice711❤
Np, glad you enjoyed the revisit!
ive actually been here and the concorde was really cool. My friends were not exited when I started blabbering about cool facts and history of the planes. There was also a semi-flight simulator, with a HOTAS as well.
aww, it would've been epic to see the concorde because I really love that plane, but the planes you saw there were equally as entertaining! I'd love to visit!
Thanks for watching mate!
Visited this place around 5 years ago. Amazing, I did not have much of a passion for planes then, but this video made me realize how much I want to go back. Also, could you do a video about the flight back to Chicago or another drawing video. Thank you so much. Have a great day
This is definetley gonna be on my bucketlist.
This is so cool!
I should put this on my bucket list.
Fun fact a variant of the sr-71 called the YF-12A has 3 missiles equipped to it and was planned to replace the F-106 Delta Dart( I think the missiles were the a-47 which inspired the Phoenix missile on the f-14)
Wow
I’ve been able to go to this museum multiple times, and I’m lucky enough to even go on the Concorde! A truly amazing museum.
I actually got the chance to touch a blackbird once at a museum, truly an amazing experience!!
I went there to! It was literally the best aircraft museum for me.🛩️
@Ice711 have you checked out the USS Midway museum in San Diego? They have some great war birds on the deck and inside the carrier as well. You can also look out and see other active carriers in front of north island naval air station, where they filmed some of top gun maverick😀
My dream USA visit is a tour of all the aviation museums.
On my visit there I was able to talk to some of the veterans who actually served on the carrier it was quite awesome because they walked me though their jobs they used to perform.
I actually went there during my trip to new York city and i saw also a lot of stuff as well including the Concorde but i couldn't go in either but it was still cool.
Very cool! This museum and NYC in general, has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. Hope to visit it soon!
i went to interpid a lot glad to see you there
How funny that this was uploaded the day before I have field trip for History Honors to this place.
I’ve visited the sister ship to this ship! The USS hornet museum in Alameda CA. A lot of cool planes including an F14! Certainly not as many cool planes as here though.
I don't live in NYC but I've been to the Intrepid at least a dozen times. One of my favorite museums of all time.
Probably the coolest military exhibit I've ever seen. Never visited tho
I went to this museum during the summer, it is amazing to see that they just brought planes that were in the air onto this aircraft carrier which they turned into a museum, my favorite part is probably the mini lego version they made inside. The Enterprise space shuttle looked amazing, and even the British Airways Concorde which was also under repair when I visited.
THATS MY FAVORITE MUSEUM
I can’t believe the SR-71 is on that!
Legendary how this was used in the best aviation movie, Sully
man, I love this ship I've been on a few times
Amazing, looks cool! I’ll definitely go there someday, as I really want to see the F-14
If you really want to get close to a F-14 you should go to the USS Hornet museum in San Francisco, there you can even touch it unlike in the itrepid museum.
@@tatihof4919 Thanks, amazing advice! I’ll consider it!!
@@gooberminiumBoth museums are grate and it would be ideal to visit both of them, but if you had to decide: the intrepid offers more planes on display and a full flight deck while the Hornet has a F-14 you can get very close to a more cleared fight deck and you can Explorer more of the insides of the ship. I have been to both and i can recommend both!
Been here myself and I saw the Concorde! Really lucky to have seen this treasured piece of history and others, especially the 212 in the Big Apple!
I am a New Yorker and I also have been on the Intrepid 2 times, and one of those times was on my birthday, I honestly really love the Intrepid with all my heart, and I love seeing the space shuttle on display on the carrier.
The Pigeon 69a had millions of individuals flying around in groups. But it's very rare seeing a Pigeon 69a prototype!
Indeed a bird you don’t see everyday!
Remember about this crash about Us airways flight 1549? So the plane landed in the Hudson River and stopped next to the Intrepid Museum and it is stored in Carolinas Aviation museum. Also have you been to the USS Hornet Museum in Alameda near Oakland?
Y'know what Ice? I actually was interested in space, especially the Space Shuttle, until I saw your videos in my recommended which is how I got hooked into aviation.
Nice, glad I could help you gain interest in both subjects!
@@ice711realAlso I might plan coming there next year!
Coooool! I think my favorite aircraft on that boat was all of them! 😆 I think we might be going to the Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C. after Christmas!!😁😁😁
Nice, have fun!
7:11 what an engineering marver. i hope to take part in something as legendary as this someday
Nice timestamp too
Fun fact: the interprid museum is built on new york's pier 86, which was built to recieve ships of the united states lines that would dock between transatlantic crossings. Some of these ships are the SS America, SS Manhattan, SS Washington and the infamous SS united states. After the united states lines cessed passenger service to focus on cargo, the pier was closed down until it was hollowed out and partially demolished to accomodate the museum. Pier 86 was also built alongside piers 88, 90 and 92, part of the same complex. Nowdays 88 and 90 are still active as a joint cruise terminal, that's why you can see a disney cruise ship peeking out in a few parts of the video.
I been on the intrepid museum. I visit when the Concorde is still here. But the Concorde is remove. But idk when it is coming back. The f14 and sr71 look fire the interior looks amazing. The reality is like you are in an actually aircraft carrier. The ticket is cheap the jet is large and cool. Intrepid have a Lego model of the aircraft carrier. For me personally I think it was very worth going to intrepid.
Hey Ice, I live in the NYC area and have been to the Intreprid multiple times. It is an amazing experience and am glad that you got to experience it as well and make great content as well! Love your channel!
Glad to hear it man, thanks! Wonderful exhibits.
Damn those be looking amazing!🔥🔥
Go down one more floor to the hangar (you probably did), there are some planes stored down there as well as a flight sim and what I believe was a space sim with motion? Haven't been there in some time despite it being less than 10 miles from my home, thanks for the update.
Yes I did go on the lower decks! Was pretty cool!
I’d love to visit there one day. I’d be awesome
there's a museum in oregon (about an hour from portland) that has not only the spruce goose, but a blackbird AND a b-2 spirit! you should make a video about it one day, and i think it would be an amazing video to create!
I’ve heard about it, may have to pay a visit!
Yo the is the Intrepid, I went here when I went to New York. Saddest thing though is that the Concorde wasn’t there because it was getting repaired
That place looks very cool, if I ever go to NY I wanna go there
My grandpha was repairing Polish Airforce Mig 21 during the cole war and even one day he felt asleep inside of Mig 21 engine!
Greetings from poland
😂 🇵🇱 👋
Me and my band are playing on the carrier in April!
Woah that’s so cool!!!
I wish I could do keyboard up there... I'm really good at it
Cool
Woah, nice
I think I'm going going on that boat to see the planes next year as a brit
I’ve gone to that boat many times, I actually went on the Concorde! They told us it was going into repairs in June, I was hoping to see them floating down the East River.
I saw the Concorde btw it was very cool also i think there was a space shuttle at the carrier because i visited it!
finally the Intrepid is getting some love!
man i was here with the civil air patrol marching in the parade and i got to spend the night on this museum that so awesome!
I actually went on the intrepid when I was young
I’ve been there, before. Amazing museum.
Definitely go again as you can go inside the Concorde and get a tour of the cabin/cockpit and more.
Great experience
Cool! You should check out the Concorde in New Jersey once it gets back
def gonna check it out when i go next month
If you’re headed to New York, it’s definitely worth seeing.
2 Display Teams, 4 Nations and a few Space Related things on one carrier, awesome!
You should come to Galveston and tour the USS Lexington.
this is awsome as always
Yo I was here too, that means you were that guy standing and recording next the sr-71 blackbird lol. 😂😂😂❤
I went there back in 2009, awesome experince
sick dude, please stick and keep up this content, it's so cool to see places ill proably never see lol
Absolutely will, thanks 💯
Very nice, my friend. I’ve also visited this in 2021!
Wow🤩 great vid dude
HI Ice, I think i saw this as a kid before. I also saw a battleship and a submarine! If you make another vid, go to the submarine!
I also saw the Enterprise there!
Bruh you criminally overlooked the mb-339 PAN, one of the greatest trainers of all time (according to me). Good video aniways
Awesome video Ice 711 I love it when you upload!! also the F4 Phantom is probably my favorite fighter.
You know, im happy ice 711 uploads again
I’ve actually been to intrepid and I really liked the Concorde
You should go again
Theres a few American navy ships next to the Sydney harbour for those who didn’t know. 🇦🇺
About 2 days ago, I saw a C17 on Flightradar which was my first time seeing, so I took a few pictures and saved them as my background on the computers
Yes i've been here, I still remember that corsair arcade in there lol
You're so lucky you got to see an SR-71
:0
Keep the great content going!🎉see you in the next video🎉🎉!
I was here in November really cool I went in the flight sim in the lower decks it goes up side down!!!
I was just there myself! It's too bad the Concorde is busy getting maintenance.
these planes are so cool I bet they freeze
You know you should vist the USS midway it is huge and they have a lot of Aircraft on the deck
This is one of the google maps locations I sent you! Glad to see you got to visit!
I went there! Enterprise is a beautiful spacecraft!
I’m from Rhode Island and I’ve visited a couple times, it’s amazing, also another thing there is an amazing pizza joint just down the street called the square pie guys they make awesome food. Also if you’re a teen and like aircraft you should look into Civil air patrol, I just flew a plane in the air for a bit last Sunday.
Wow! I’ve been there once!
Pretty nice place
4:11 i like the pigeon moment 😄
I wish i can visit Iceland one day and meet you, fren :)
