Depends on luck. If glue is little bit more then you would not succeed. Mine broke. So it stays at 12 bar. Better would be to just replace entire opv... Though I suspect it will be same issue because it is glued to boiler again. Lelit needs to go back to drawing board and make some sensible design. Nobody buys these machine for pods. You can get those for 10% of the cost. It is shame. I am ditching lelit forever. What a waste of money.
I just want to say THANK YOU for OPV cleaning tip! It saved me! The pressure on my lelit had always been low and the opv bit didn't want to budge on the high side. I could lower it but not putting higher until I took the tip out, cleaned it and now I have a beautiful 9 bar of pressure. Thank you sooooo much!
Seeing how easy this adjustment is, I wish I'd bought the PID Anna rather than the Grace, which is VERY difficult to adjust. Very annoying Lelit don't send their machines out set for espresso, but send them out at 11bar optimised for ESE Pads.
Funnily the grinder combo version and the 58 mm machines are set to closer to 9. I am facing the same decision, Grace or PID Anna. I was leaning towards the Grace, but then I'd want the Vic with 58 mm filter... damn marketing. Do you think the coffee is better with the Grace? Do you use the preinfusion? Maybe the smarter choice is the PID Anna and spend the rest on a better grinder and basket (found one or two in 57 mm).
Hi there! Is it recommend to adjust to 10 bars as Anna is using a vibration pump? At 10bars, the group head should be 9bars technically. Or i should set to 9 bars directly?
What is the adjustment range on this OPV? My machine in Canada came with a factory setting of 9 bar. Will I be able to adjust it further down to 6.5-7 bar?
tried myself, not really. things are too tight, you really need to disassemble the most part of it. also the replacement part is also glued (but this time i used a torch to soften it instead of destroying the screw head).
Great tutorial! What is the preset pressure for the replacement mc097 part? How many rotations should I approximately do counterclockwise to achieve 9-10 bar? I don't have a pressure gauge in my PL41E.
I tried doing this in my Lelit Victoria and I was unable to turn the brass screw without damaging it. I just ordered a replacement that is factory set at 9 bar.
Is it necessary to fix the opv with glue after adjusting? I had to screw mine quite far out to get it to 8-9 bar, is that ok? I feel lile it is scrwed in too loose, what kind of glue is lelit using? Cheers!
I bought Lelit Anita 1 month ago and with good grinder setting the pressure is going to 11bars. I would like to change that because this is too much. Do I need to send it back to seller?
