Man if the beat has an impact like Jairo’s second round, it really doesn’t matter if they went overtime a little cause of how beautiful the ending was and the respect that Scott Jackson gave to let them finish without interrupting. Jairo clearly won this shit hands down and you’re in for a good time in the small finals and the actual final lol. Now it’s teams going against other corresponding teams in terms of styles!
According to the comment on the SBX video, Jackpot had no more routines to do, except for one prepared against Rofu, so they decided to flip it with a whistle. If they weren't penalized for it, they said that they'd call out the judges for not DQ'ing them for the whistle.
I had the exact same face at the exact same time when i heard that second round from Jairo 😅😂 Took me until watching it for the second time until I remembered it was from NME..
@@AnthonyRay I don't think its supposed to a very strict rule, just to prevent teams from going on forever, and to keep the integrity of the battle. It only ever comes up when the beatboxer _excessively_ goes over the time limit - so-so in 2021 for example. I feel like its similar to the 6 second rule for goalkeepers to hold the ball in football/soccer, if you get what I'm talking about.
I don't think the whistle was scored against because the judges can clearly see that he's using one. If he was hiding some kind of other audio device they'd probably be disqualified. If I was judging, I'd treat the whistle as a showmanship aspect but I wouldn't judge it with the actual beatboxing.
Hey Anthony... dont get toooo caught up in all this battling/judging thing... just enjoy the rounds without thinking "yeah i think they won this round/was this cheating?/is this legal? etc. You get the point. watch it. feel it. enjoy it. soak it up. and when you're done with the irrational stuff, you can jump in thinking rationally and ask this questions/give your opinions. This isn't hate or anything. I love watching these bbx reactions. I just want you to enjoy it a little more.
I'm a rational person by nature and I've seen a few hundred of these beatbox videos. Unfortunately the "fun" fades away after you've seen most of it. It's still fun though, just less. I get your point. I also have a lot of other bs going on in life that has an effect on these reactions. Especially this one right here. To be honest I don't want to do this anymore. But I'm here for the people and community. Plus it still is somewhat enjoyable to do at times.
Another clear win. Jairo was clearly better - their sound-kit and synergy is insane (especially their contrasting highs and lows). I'm pretty sure Jackpot were mucking around and not giving their 100% - Wing said in an interview that they were almost keen to throw this battle as they really wanted to face Rofu (you'll see why - that battle is insane). Hellcat's whistle would be illegal in the battle - he used an external device to make sound which is completely against the rules. They wouldn't have used the whistle otherwise. Looking forward to the final!
Maddox & Alexinho did the intro for sbx, which they repaid Maddox by 'forgetting to check the McDonald's email' that offered him to do a jingle (? Whatever, background music lol)) for them >.> Sbx had done So many shady things fr
@@AnthonyRay From the previous GBBs, there was often a 10~0 countdown after the time hits 0:00. I’m guessing that’s the limit for how long a round can go over? (You can see it in So-so’s gbb elim 2021)

That's some gigachad shit
I’m confused how they were already out of routines. Wasn’t this their first battle, or am I missing something?
@@JuanOnJuannThey didnt expect to qualify lol
@@JuanOnJuann Wing also had to prepare for solo so he focused on that more and decided to have fun with the tag team battles
I also taught they did this on purpose, cause they weren't 100% prepared

@@xandrostv7109 they're not, but I meant personally scoring.
@@maxim_beatbox Whistle is definitely illegal. Jairo can point that out to disqualify them if ever judges voted for jackpot.
