Do I need to lower my own standards to get more work ?

After more than 50 years in the motor trade I have built a skill set that is ideal for car detailing, I have spent many years restoring classic cars to show quality and have continued the same mindset with my detailing But, is my interpretation of detailing to deep for the modern age where cars are replaced every couple of years.
During my long battle against cancer I have had plenty of time to think my business stratergy over and maybe have come to the belief that most people do not need a show stopping finish but are happy with the car looking like it was when they purchased the vehicle.
Please give me your thoughts.
