  • Besides how amazing this looks, what I love about the technique is that we can fill the center of each roll with pretty much anything we like. I went very simple here with some chunks of dark chocolate, but I’m looking forward to trying out some of my favorite dumpling and Asian-style bun fillings in this. Enjoy!

    I think I'll try this with mozzarella and with my artichoke dip in the center. After all, I am in full control of my wool roll.

    I've made this bread 3 times within a 2 week period. First time with chocolate, 2nd time with cheese, and 3rd time plain. It is so good for breakfast with a cup of tea. My daughter said, this is a keeper recipe. I totally agree.

    Tangzhong method works wonders for making toast bread. It causes toast to be crunchy on the outside keeping the inside soft. I'm definitely trying the Wool Roll Bread soon. Looks so mouthwatering.

    I made this, the first time with my stand mixer, and even though the dough was too wet, and I probably over worked it. Dried tart cherries and chocolate chips inside. My boyfriend loved it.

    I applied the technique to what I normally make as cinnamon star bread. Sprinkled the sugar/cinnamon mix over the uncut third and rolled lightly. I could only fit 4 rolls in my pan. I made a bread knot and inserted in the middle - that's the part of just finished eating while the rest cools down.
    Great looking bread.
