How to make tiny spider ART with SCRAP METAL!

- I had this tiny antique lightbulb and thought it would be really cool to turn it into a spider using some nails and other scraps! I love making cool art projects out of scrap metal! If you've got any questions about the process or anything art related I'll do my best to answer any comments! Its micro pulse arc welding! I haven't used it before but I bet solder would work, before I was welding I used superglue!

Thank you! Setting up the welder mainly involves calibrating the argon gas, and choosing how high I set the energy output of the welds to be!
Great video. May I ask what type of welder this is please. It looks ideal for me as I’ve never welded before😮 It looks a bit dicey not wearing gloves but I’m guessing that the small scale creations make wearing protective gloves awkward. Do you need a dark glass mask? Cheers
Thanks! Its a micro pulse arc welder - the orion 150s. It's fine to use without gloves (minor burns and electrocutions are just a package deal). I am actually welding through a microscope when I use it, and it automatically darkens so I don't need a mask. If I want to use the welding stylus freehand then I use welding goggles!

Seems like a fun little hobby project to do with him but i wouldnt know where to start with tools!
Honest with welding its really difficult to get in at a cheap price point - if it helps before I had a welder I just used superglue! You have to be more careful with them but its still really strong if done right and will save you thousands! I only got my welder about 2 years ago - so most of my art is made with superglue 😊

I have a bit scrap at garage but I use just grinder and arc welder) i tried to make some sculptures... not easy

Ive saved up similar light bulb it was a first light bulb I changed on my first car this seem like a perfect way of making it into something more interesting instead of just resting in my ash tray in my car
You should definitely give it a go! If you don’t have a welder you can use superglue instead 😊
