I originally just youtube'd this song to post on Facebook, as a little inspiration, a light at the end of the tunnel. Radiohead always puts into words what I can't. I struggle with depression, anxiety, and low self esteem. Listening to this song sometimes alleviates all of that. To see it interpreted visually is very moving, as I am sure many of us experience similar situations. I know I do.
This is an absolutely brilliant video, Keir. Congratulations! The acting, the cutting, the photography; everything is absolutely fantastic. I hope we'll see more like this from you.
This song was one of the first I ever learned 100% on guitar because I felt the lyrics & sound deeply. On my top ten songs ever, Simply beautiful & this video is an excellent, artistic vision that brought me to tears literally. The Struggle is real for alot of people & something as small as a song can bring optimism to their souls. It did for me. Kept me out of the dark. Thank You Radiohead
This song among so many others is my favorite of Radiohead as well as a TRUE TRUE message to all of us that Love is the greatest power in the world and it comes from GOD.
Though a bleak interpretation of the track, this vid was sublime in execution. Great editing, directing & I really felt the mood they were going for. Also thought it was a nice touch @ 2:13 to add the sound effect. You guys rock.
I've never said a word on your feed this is by far the best interpretation of this song . I been following u for the duration of this upload. U the man love from Chicago!
AAAMAAZING! it's always so hard to decide which is your favorite radiohead song because there are so many amazing ones. But i can definitely say that this is one of the best off of Kid A, the other two being The National Anthem and Idioteque (Optimistic and the national anthem are neck and neck)
Videos made by fans for the music they adore vary in their execution, but their intent is heartfelt. Here, Mr. Burrows, you've raised the bar. Took me four years to find this, but thank you for putting up a high quality tribute to Radiohead onto youtube, free for us to enjoy. I hope you have gone on and found solid employment for your skills. Your choice of actors was smart. Rick, Jacqueline, David and Harrry: How did you find them? This video makes you impervious to the karma police...
nice! I LOVE this song. I would get home from fishing in AK & hop a train from Seattle to Spokane in the middle of the night & play this album. The music was so perfect for a dark, eerie train ride home after a long, long trip away....
@guilleu hey thanks for the comment, and you know what, you're right, when I watch this back now the only thing I'd really change was that, not have him look at the camera. cheers.
Yet another one... it took me quite a while to realize this wasn't the original! You probably got Thom Yorke himself thinking when do they ordered this.
Hey that was a neat video! I thought it was actually an official video... well done! And of course the song is great too... I had a strange urge to listen to it just now.
All interpretations of Radiohead are correct... I don't feel like anyone is wrong when they share what they believe this music means. When you release art or music into the world, you can not change how others experience it, what they take from it or how it inspires them... That is the beauty of creation.
I've got a bit of a soft spot for Radiohead... This video may not have been on a big budget, but it is powerful nonetheless. Gets a good point across and conveys (in part) what the song is about.
Still one of my favorite songs since 2001 but I have to hear "In Limbo" right afterwards or it doesn't feel right. Great video. I assume that's London.
All those albums are FTW! Depends on what you want from Radiohead. In Rainbows is quick, with some beautifully constructed songs, Kid A and Amnesiac will require a few listens but are very rewarding once you "get it" and Hail to The Thief is OK Computer 2 (Thom said that, not me) so none of them would be bad choices. In fact, do yourself a favor and get them all. Ciao =) and happy listening!
It seems more realistic that the homeless crack pipe / crystal meth user would have used 25 pence on a public BT phone rather than a cell phone. Interesting cinematography, acting and concepts in the video.
Heard a song by Civil Twilight this morning that sounds too much like a stripped down version of this. Its called Letters from the Sky. Between this and 'Faster' by Matt Nathanson - I'm beginning to think that copyright laws are far too lapsed and 'creative' types are getting far too lazy.

But street spirit is dark tunnel with no light at the end
well said
Just a perfect video for this song. It's pretty rare that a video matches as well with a song as this one does.
For me : The greatest song from Radiohead. And this is my favorite band... I love the strength of the fall on the end. (Sorry for bad english.)
!
@@1ute ?
@@edzbienen I agree with your comment. I did not expect a reply but the song it’s very emotional
@@1ute And even 9 years later I reply : you'r totally right, it's one of them most touching song

Beautiful. Really captures the feeling of Radiohead, making you feel abject desperation and melancholy joy.
hands down, my favorite music video.
This is a bad ass song and the levels of that bass guitar, radiohead is what's up.
I'm not a huge radiohead fan, but there is no denying this song. It's amazing.
Congratulations, guys, I love what you did with the song! Really loved the video.
This short & this s0ng go perfectly together. 3 human stories.....all "Optimistic"......
This song among so many others is my favorite of Radiohead as well as a TRUE TRUE message to all of us that Love is the greatest power in the world and it comes from GOD.

It's great that the video is available again.
I've never said a word on your feed this is by far the best interpretation of this song . I been following u for the duration of this upload. U the man love from Chicago!
looked pretty professional to me, radiohead would be proud i think, good video ALL around for real, well done

One of the best songs I've ever heard in my life. Sometimes things get hard for us all. when it gets hard on me I listen to this.
favorite vampire rock group of all time !
love you guys all the way from Chicago IL ❤ 💙 ♥
To clear up any confusion they don't age !
This video is great!! the storyline was verywell put.
Had me fooled. I thought this was the official music video. Excellent work! Keep honing your craft, you seem to be on the right track.

Awesome work guys, especially considering your budget.
The video it's perfect for this song. Even better than other official vids. Good job, man.
this is a great video to go with radiohead's song- and well done too
Wow, Excellent video. I really loved it!
@guilleu hey thanks for the comment, and you know what, you're right, when I watch this back now the only thing I'd really change was that, not have him look at the camera. cheers.
He does that in a lot of their songs, each with its own touch of distortion, and all of them very awesome.
great work here! thanks!

GREAT CANCION, GRANDE RADIOHEAD....
Hey that was a neat video! I thought it was actually an official video... well done! And of course the song is great too... I had a strange urge to listen to it just now.

Was this video blocked or removed?
Been watching Radiohead videos for years, This is the first time I'm seeing this.
Great Work.
haha, I actually thought this was the original video :')
Great job!!
I honestly thought this was their real video until I read the comments. Excellent job guys!
I think the best you can is, in fact, good enough.
great video!
dont know why but it brought a tear to my eyes
great job, love the video :D
Drums here are insane... They should play it live with about 100 people in the drums....
great stuff, gave me goosbumps at the end...:)
I heard this on the radio today and wrote the lyrics down on my hand in pen so I could google them later.
Great song! Great Video!... hope to see more off you guys. Kudos
I've got a bit of a soft spot for Radiohead...

absolutely fantastic video, i'm sure that even thom yorke would be pleased! the atmosphere is freezing!
since i found this song i cant stop playing it
Contempt, detachment and indifference. A light among the blind, wasting his time on rhyme. Twist the dawn around your thorn.
SS
like if aryton senna brought you here.
Radiohead brought me here
This probably the first song i heard that remembered who the artist was. This first time in 9 years I heard and it brings back so many memories.
awesome guys! amazing stuff! keep doing things like this!
You did it guys
Else where in the world we rember him for this.... Senna is a wet weather master...
beautiful
Still one of my favorite songs since 2001 but I have to hear "In Limbo" right afterwards or it doesn't feel right. Great video. I assume that's London.

Desde Argentina te felicito por el gran video de esta gran banda RADIOHEAD!!!
This video captures the essence of the song well. Checked it out cause I'm thinking of getting a small tattoo inspired by some lyrics in this song.
FANTASTIC video. You guys have real talent. Kudos to you :)
Frank Ocean brought me here and I''m very thankful he did. Awesome song!
Eu amo essa música, me faz sentir que sempre posso fazer mais, sempre melhor!

Great tune probably my favourite off kid a
Long live radiohead!
The only thing I didnt like was the guy singing looking at the camera, for everything else, Excellent video, keep working like that.
Great job
Really great job, you go into real filmaking,I'd love to see that too, cheers !
i actually liked it
Wow dude, good job. If that is what you can do on a budget of a Big Mac, I would like to see what you could do with a bit of cash.
Heard a song by Civil Twilight this morning that sounds too much like a stripped down version of this. Its called Letters from the Sky. Between this and 'Faster' by Matt Nathanson - I'm beginning to think that copyright laws are far too lapsed and 'creative' types are getting far too lazy.
it's good enough! You tried the best you could
I agree!!
quality video
all thumbs up!!!!
Thom Yorke Body+Face was designed to fit his voice, weird to hear it in another kind of body
so cool
Sí, además esas percepciones distintas siempre estarán dentro de ciertos límites.
