Maybe I missed it, but barrels aside, where was this whisky distilled: Indiana or Maryland? I didn’t think Sagamore had any of their own distillate aged 5-7 years yet. I also thought they only made Rye and Single Malt.
We are contract distilling two bourbon mashbills we chose at Sagamore. So the bourbon in these barrels is distilled by sagamore and will continue to be and it will be marked/sold to us under our contract distillation agreement. This was our low rye mashbill. Those 7 year rye were distilled by MGP and we bought them from sagamore.

Those brokers will source whiskey from all over the place then sell it marked up from how much they bought it for but still at wholesale. Brokers are a HUGE part of the sourcing market. A lot of the big brands that source that you probably love use brokers, you just didn't know.
And a lot of well-known sourced whiskies we love too, like Four Gate, Old Elk, Smoke Wagon, etc. I’m sure sure Virtue is in that club, I just hope I can find a bottle at retail in Maine or Colorado, when I split my bourbon hunting between home and work travel.@@BourbonJunkies
Crazy thing is that Jarrod Record was on my Old Forester Tour on Friday 7/14. I had no idea who he was until now watching this video and he went back to Missouri 3 days later and helped yall bottle your first bottles.. wild. Congrats guys! Hope to try some Virtue some day!

why is the fill level different on each bottle?
There will be a slight difference between the bottles because of the bottle filler.
