- Mekhi Heka 9 years old. First club (90 Mile Beach Surfcasting) day back for the Far North Slayers. Just finished hauling in a 25+ kg shark, it was time to move. Dad casts first cast, within 60 seconds the rod goes off, 'Mekhi your rod!!!" Exhausted Mekhi runs for the rod.Thought it may have been a trevally and turns out to be a giant snapper. His now personal best 9.28kg. Congratulations son, you da man.

Hey Jayden ,we were fishing a club day. So she ended up in the bin. We've had her mounted since it was his 1st 20lb snapper. Not bad since hes only been fishing for 2 years.
