    Pretty cool, TH-camrs helping TH-camrs with issues. That's one great thing about all the TH-camrs, always willing to help if they can. Glad to hear the procedure helped with the clutch pedal issue. Stay safe.

    Very helpful info. I’m having similar issues with my 4707; I’ll try out this procedure.

    The last update the dealership did to mine fixed the declutch button.

      DLH Farms. Love your content; been a longtime viewer. I would appreciate the info on the decluth button if you don’t mind.

      You are correct here, have dealer update software and you de-clutch button will operate smoother. There is no calibration for the de-clutch button itself, it was designed to be used shifting down the road or while moving.

      Life By The Horns , gotcha, appreciate the info. I’ll need to try a different Massey dealer. Mine is a little short on 4700 knowledge for some reason.

      @@alanjohnson2460 Thanks, Alan! I don't have any info on the declutch button other than your dealership can update your software and it will help. I do have info on clutch pedal and shuttle calibration.

    I received my new 4707 this weekend and ran into this clutch issue when I was maneuvering the brush hog. I will give this calibration procedure a try today...thanks! Unrelated question: I heard you mention you have your gps setup. Assuming you have an external antennae; how did you route the wire outside? Also, where did you put your monitors in the cab and how did you connect them? Thanks in advance and appreciate the content!

    I drove a new 4710 around the Massey dealers lot the other day... and noticed the tractor had this issue. Has it worked fine since you did the calibration?
    Considering buying one, but afraid of this issue.

    I keep hearing you say “dual disc clutch”, as if maybe you think there’s a dry 2 stage pressure plate and disc unit in there like tractors had 30 years ago and prior.
    Whether you push the pedal, work the reverser, or press the dump switch, you aren’t engaging anything directly in that 100% wet clutch transmission. Whatever you feel in that pedal in terms of physical resistance that coincides with clutch engagement is purely coincidental. You’re operating a potentiometer (variable resistor) that the PCM uses to tell it when and how hard to apply fluid pressure to a multi-disc wet clutch drum. If it’s engaging too hard it’s either out of calibration or the resistance in pedal sensor is out of spec (defective clutch position sensor).

    Have you ever figured out what your fuel consumption is? Gallons/hour.
    What is it while doing hay work and what is it while doing chore work such as feeding bales/loading bales so forth.

    I have the same issue as you with clutch pedal and declutch button on shifter. Told dealer and was told I’m shifting wrong

    Hello love the channel
    I have a 4707 and everytime I hit the brakes the auto 4x4 kicks in is that the same for you. Can this be shut off. ( this is when it’s not in 4x4 ) also can you actually put the tractor in 4x4 not auto.

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 4x4 kicking in while hitting the brakes is normal it’s for safety it gives you 4 wheel braking anytime you hit both brakes. All newer tractors do this you can’t turn it off. Yes you can lock it in 4x4 buy holding the 4wd button for about 3 seconds.

      @@DLHFarms Hey Dennis, this is Mike in NM. I bought a 4707 dyna 2 and just got it day before Thanksgiving. I let it sit four days and it barley turned over. Would low battery keep the preheat from working? Im doing it just like book says but preheat light doesn't come on. But it does come on after tractor is running.? Any ideas? Wish it had a charging gauge like a truck.

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mikeortega4647 that sounds normal to me. My tractor has always turned over slow even with a new battery. The glow plugs don’t come on unless it’s really cold but they do usually come one after it’s started to help warm the engine faster.

    How about when u engage pto. A little rough?

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No the pto on mine engages smooth as silk. The noise you hear is normal it’s pulsing the pto solenoid to cause it to engage softer not not just slam the pto on like most tractors.
