I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Rick is possibly the best TH-cam guitar instructor on the planet. Simple, practical, sensible lessons every time.
Using the first 2 fingers for the boogie doesn't work for my fingers, but the 3rd finger & pinkie is silk for me even for the stretch. That's just 'me' for the last 53 years, but whatever is easier for you & others is fine. Just remember there are different hand types, so I wouldn't be so quick to call it as a "mistake.". I really appreciate your video.
Another (easy) way to play the classic boogie rhythm with the flat 7th at 1:06, is to barre your index finger across fret 3, place either your middle or ring finger on the A string fret 5, play only the two thickest strings, play the G6th by fretting the A string fret 7 with your little finger, and then... lift that finger off and strum the _three_ thickest strings to play the G7. It's easier to play than it is to describe. G: 35xxxx 37xxxx (G6) 353xxx (G7) C: x35xxx x37xxx (C6) x353xx (C7) D: x57xxx x59xxx (D6) x575xx (D7)
