to people asking how to reset the trap in case you accidentally activated it when returning home: there are a few possible solutions. the one i'd go for is to use set / reset instead of toggle. you'd have to add a 1 second timer (and another branch to power it, 2 power is all you need) and connect it to the reset part of the memory cell. connect the pressure pad to the set part of the memory cell. using the toggle in this particular trap is actually a blunder and can be exploited. if they are quick enough they can move off the pressure pad and onto it again which will toggle the memory cell and reopen the doors. more importantly, they might do it accidentally by panicking and moving around. after that they can simply come back and loot their body without entering the trap or their friend could loot it for them. if you use set / reset no matter how many times you step on the pressure pad nothing will change, even when you step on it on your way back. the only thing that will reset the trap is the timer/switch in your control room.
Hello Lordemus, Yes your technique is perfect to reset the trap, we could use actually many other devices to rest it. But in this case my goal was to make the cheapest trap in terms of components and energy. That's why i placed all my furnaces in the room in the way that you cannot desactivate the pressure pad, no matter where you move. Plus once the tesla coil is on, you cannot jump anymore, so absolutely no chance for them to trigger the trap twice. But thank you for your comment it will be useful for many :)
@@benji6b and if i accidently activated trap by stepping on it but not leavin the house cause i stepped back into the battery room. Then the Lights are red and green and i cant walk out. I Need to reset the System somehow. Otherwise i die by going out.
Hello, to enter the generator, use your sleeping bag. To leave you can disconnect the battery so the power, and reconnect, both light must be green when you leave the base in order to not get electrocuted by your trap.
you could use a HBHF sensor set to "include authorized + exclude others" which emits a signal to a blocker or XOR switch to prevent the tesla coil from activating. Basically if you are in the room, it would not work. HBHF is a bit more advanced than the pressure plate, and it would be an upgrade for sure. Alternatively, you could make this a "fake" entrance to your base?
@@ghostsquadme That would be a very good improvement yes. I did a video using this HBHF sensor the way you describe it. It was for a safe push button, check it out :)
You commentated better than most stuttering rust players
Thank you i'm glad i was helpful

Thats weird where is the TC lol
I found 10 seconds wasn't enough playing on console. So up it to 15 seconds. Or i an add second coil
at 4:36 you Mention "make sure both of the Memory Lights are green"... how do i make them green / how do i reset the trap
Hello, just by walking once on the pressure pad. So when you leave your base basically.
Each time you walk on the pressure pad it will switch your trap to ON and OFF.

@@billy3037 In this case you can disconnect the battery or remove the memory cell and replace it again. I think this works.
more than 3 seconds is redundant since the coil does 35 damage per sec if fully powered
Ok thank you good to know. But is it the case even for a full kit enemy ?
@@benji6b its doesn't matter what kit they have its electric

Nothing better than a fully roasted dead enemy
I cant plug the pressure pad to the memory cell.
Hey, are you sure you are pluggin the output of the pressure pad and not the input ?
@@benji6b ur right. Thanks for responding so quickly. Everything works fine!
its a better idea to place the tesla coil in the corner that way u cant see it
Yes true, but didn't i don't know the influence on the damaged caused because of the distance, should try.
Nice video, but please turn off Motion blur in your video settings.
thank you 👍
How can i do for not trigger the trap when i leave the base or enter in the generator room?

@@benji6b what does it mean if the lights are green or red and green? I added a switch before the branch in this way i can deactivate it from there

how to make so door closes and not opens back so the "victim" cant loot his corpse?
That's already the case, when triggered, the system will keep the door closed until you come to loot his body.
aw thats cute
Good)
do i hear gamergirl?
Like video
It's my idea but I have better way to build it
Hello, oh cool how do you do that?
@@benji6b you can glitch trigger under foundation and make the cable invisible and glitch the Tesla coil in the wall
