"A gigabyte of RAM should do the trick."
I laughed uncontrollably.
no lol
Judging by the look of the system he's using, 1 GB of RAM would have been a phenomenally large amount. Hell, the system Im using now only has 4 GB, as I only use it for browsing the web and photo editing...However, in the early 90s, that would have been absolutely insane.
This line killed me, because at first I was so hung up on the fact that a gigabyte of RAM was an insane amount for 1995, it took me a minute to realised he is using that gigabyte of ram to unlock an apple newton
Shittttttt my first PC had 16 megabytes and GPU was 1mb
I love how Office Space was technically the most accurate
IOnceAteAPinecone I was about to say the same
TH-cam's running like shit lately. I'll just download a couple of gigs of ram, and that'll do the trick.
John Connor's console hacking the ATM was the only one I found believable at its time of release of the whole bunch XD
Sliding a floppy disk into a company computer to cause infection's pretty believable too. Autorun was a virus in itself. Still is. :P
René Jiménez Believable?? hahha)) He is using Atari Portfolio a 4mhz shit ppc, and he's bruteforcing 4 digit pin with it))) man, that's like 10000 possible combinations, and there is only 3 attempts, so after 3rd fail you are forced to wait n minutes, It'd take months if not years for that ppc to crack. it'd be easier for him just use forged plastic, it was super easy back then.
pmf026 please pay more attention when you read: I clearly said it was the only one _I _*_found_*_ believable at its time of release_ ... that means me at 11 years old on 1991. It does not mean that I think it's something possible, or that I still believe it.
René Jiménez I know man. Idk why you got offended by my post. None indented really.
+pmf026 I mean it is sort of plausible. You could feed enough data into the card reader to cause a buffer overflow. In theory, you might then be able to input a data sequence which won't just flat out crash the ATM but will rather give you money. However, the card reader outputs a very limited character set, so assembling some useful ARM instructions (most ATMs run on ARM) or a meaningful return address from the card reader output would be very, very difficult. But not necessarily impossible.
I'm glad Hackers made the list
Legit my favorite movies and I wasn't even alive when it came out
These make me feel so nostalgic.
be sure to use 2gb of ram for difficult systems and if that doesn't work just program in some more
I kind of miss those big 90s monitors. Not moving them, of course.
Jurassic Park and Terminator 2 look sort of plausible
No Boris from Goldeneye?
I AM INVINCIBLE
I know right?! The Jurassic Park scene really reminded me of boris's weird animated hacking sequences too lol
That is kind of the reason I clicked on this video lol
Jeff Goldblum hacking alien software was the worst ¬¬
I have hacked before, this is what it is like.
What's with the purple-blue tone of 90s 3D animated code world things
this is what your mother sees when she tries to log in on facebook .
That ending was perfect.
This is what my mum thinks hacking is like
Perfect Ending!
The amazon mystery pallet is less than a brand new alibaba pallet that costs less!
Would the Pentagon scenes in Mission Impossible count? That was kinda hacking of a standalone system.
Hacking was so fun in the 90s... Minus the fbi
list of movies,please?
Please please please add in the Simon Pheonix "I'm possessed!" scene from demolition man, and something from Russel Crowe's Virtuosity ^^
Actually I would be completely satisfied if you got some Pheonix hacking in there ;)
encryption breaker? should have said ICE breaker
way better than the 80s
it's a new world.. Daryl.
whats the name of the movie in the first scene?(the magic word)
That scene is from Jurassic Park.
Mr the plague!

***** i saw it with russian multy voice over and i don't know about difficults for english-spoken people =)
4:20 lel
terminal xD?
not sure what the problem is.
kinda talented for programmers to do this so actors don't break the system, no different to going to see your favourite artist lip-sync back then.
the hackers/programmers are still doing it to this day; making everything look like magic and getting paid heavy when all they did was run a dskchk.
Для каких дегенератов делали эти фильмы? Тут даже обычный человек поймет что это бред.
Для таких дегенератов как ты, видимо. Обычный человек поймёт, что фильм - это фильм.
