Hello @jimmywellington, thank you for reaching out to us with your question. Unfortunately the Up and Down pedals on the FCB1010 do not transmit midi; they are only for changing banks on the controller. I wonder why it doesn't work Behringer EPROM 2.5 in Mac OS Sonoma & FCB1010 manager 2.5 . Associating MIDI control to pedal B cancel previous association with pedal A for next and previous presets. Same problem with GR6 and GR7 Pro. Checked 3 times the same config as in the tutorial in FCB manager, and good saving of it in FBC1010. Knobs options don't offer to Off/On but only to Learn MIDI , then it's not possible to activate or desactivate the controlers Would like so much to get it work. Thany you anyway

Thank you for this video, its really clear and easy to follow. Did the set up with the UNO chip video ever get made? I'm in the process of buying the FCB1010 and it comes with UNO chip, and the original chip, I'm not entirely sure what the UNO chip does if I'm being honest. If the video hasn't been made, I'll just swap the chip back to the original. Thank you
Hello @despitesteve, the UNO chip toggles the LED's to show the state of effects like a stompbox whereas the stock chip does not. However, you will need to purchase the UNO editor to program the UNO chip. It is much easier to use than Mountain Utilities editor and you can use it with the stock chip. Can't seem to save the button configuration, i.e. it toggles between knob and button according to the preset. Tried saving in the global config but no luck.
Hello Clark Siller, saving global midi controls will save the FCB 1010 pedal configuration to each preset. If you have pedal 1 on the controller assigned to button one in the macro module and select global save, pedal 1 will be assigned to button one in every preset. As for the buttons not saving when you change presets that’s just visual. The knobs will toggle between 0 and 127 for on and off.
Hello @melomane2010, thank you for reaching out to us with your issue. When you state that you never made it to config mode explain exactly what is happening so we can assist you in getting the FCB1010 working. Guitar School Live
@@guitarschoollive I got it into config mode just fine following another video on TH-cam - I'm just saying the approach described in this video to get the foot controller into config mode DID NOT, in fact, get me into config mode despite repeated attempts. I have no idea why.
Hello. Followed step by step and I'm almost where I want to be. I'm using Guitar Rig 6 in FL Studio, and I am able to map with no issues to the FCB. However, my issue is that the effect is only "on" when the button is held down. For example, I'm trying to set the Delay Man effect. I want it to turn on and stay on when I click the 5 pedal on the FCB, and turn back off when I stomp on 5 again. At the moment, it will currently toggle the effect on when I stomp on 5, but only while 5 is held down. As soon as I step off, the effect turns off. How can I resolve? Thank you for your time!
Hello @incrediblemredible7661, thanks for reaching out to us for assistance. The video you viwed is for Guitar Rig standalone only. If you intend to use it in FL Studio there are few questions that need to be answered. • Are you using the stock chip or an aftermarket (IE: Uno or EurekaProm)? • Do you wish to change presets? (FL Studio accepts PC messages which allow you to jump around with your presets rather than going in order) • Are you only looking to control 1 effect per preset? We can put a video together showing how to configure the FCB1010 for FL Studio but the daw has a few drawbacks that may affect your performance. • It processes Note messages as momentary instead if latching(that’s why when you release the pedal the state changes to off). • It doesn’t process a single CC message from the stock FCB1010. • If you use 2 CC messages and switch effects and switch back (ex: turn on delay then switch and turn on a different effect) you will need to double tap the controller pedal to toggle. The Uno chip can solve these problems however you MUST GET THE UNO EDITOR PACKAGE! (FCB/UnO Control Center) This adds to the cost of the controller. Again, we will be more than happy to make a video if you need to use GR6 in FL Studio. Let us know. Guitar School Live PS, do you use any other amp sims?
FL studio is not too hard if you know where to look. You need to find the parameters in the effects and sample library drop down menus to get to the parameters. From there you can right click on the tabs and link to controller. Then set the cc number and port number to link with your foot controller from there. Worked fine for me. Message me for any further info. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately the Up and Down pedals on the FCB1010 do not transmit midi; they are only for changing banks on the controller. If you need more pedals you can program the next bank in the editor and use the Up and Down pedals to go to that bank to use the next set of 10 pedals.
I hope this helps.

That makes sense. I figured there must be a good reason, otherwise it would be obvious to link those to changing presets in GR. Thanks!@@guitarschoollive
I got this to work for me, however I cant get the buttons to work as just an on/off toggle switch. It'll only perform its assignmemt while I'm holding it down. Did I miss something?
idem
Can you do this for inside FL studio as well ? Can't find this anywhere. Also I'm using guitar rig 5 not 6. Struggling here. Followed every step too.
Thank you.
Knobs options don't offer to Off/On but only to Learn MIDI , then it's not possible to activate or desactivate the controlers
Would like so much to get it work. Thany you anyway
Hi, there! Thanks for the video! Question: can I use this editor to set the FCB1010 to work like a stompbox, using the pedals and both expression pedals to control via MIDI the boss RC600? Thanks in advance!
Hello Guto Santana, thank you for reaching out to us for assistance.
Unfortunately the stock FCB 1010 cannot control the RC600. The FCB505 chip must be installed. You can find this chip here: www.fcb1010.eu/fcb505.html.

Hey sorry i'm having a problem to manage guitar rig with the FCB1010 and i think it's because my focusrite is not recognize as a midi device. Actually the only midi device i have is "USB MIDI interface". So after setting the presets on the FCB using the FCB manager, i can't set up my preset up and down using learn midi control in guitar rig 6. Much more, the FCB1010 is directly connected to my PC in USB and it's the same for my focusrite. Should i connect them together ?
Hello @MisterAlpha94, thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. If you’re using a USB to Midi cable the only one known to work is the Roland UM-ONE mk2 USB MIDI Interface. The cheaper cables you find on Amazon cannot send the large data packets required to operate the FCB1010.
If you need any further assistance feel free to reach out to us again as we are always happy to help.

Thank you for your help and rapidity, is there any others solutions to connect the FCB1010 to my pc, or can i connect it directly to my focusrite ? Much more, why can't i see "Focusrite USB midi like you on the video on the FCB1010 manager ? @@guitarschoollive
Hello @MisterAlpha94, if your Focusrite has midi input and output you can connect the FCB1010 to it with midi cables and then USB out to your computer.

Will it be possible to make a midi tutorial with the FCB 1010 and the Boss GT 1000 Core thank you
Can it be used as looper controller?
Hello Sandro, thank you for your question. The FCB1010 can send PC, CC, and Note messages. You would need to configure it to send the appropriate messages. What looper do you wish to control?

Hello Zé Tenente, thank you for your question. This video is for the stock chip. Unfortunately at the moment there are not many tutorials on both the Eureka and/or Uno chips available. We plan on releasing a video for the UNO chip in the next few weeks because it is highly requested. If you haven’t figured out how to program your controller by the end of the month check back as we will start looking in the Eureka chip.

Thanks for the tutorial. What about using the FCB for changing the presets?

@@guitarschoollive thanks for your quick reply. It works in the standalone version, but not inside studio One or Ableton Live. Do you know why?
Hello @Rod Kruz, thanks for your question. You are correct that the video is for standalone. Each Daw requires different midi configurations. Amazing tutorial,
But my GR6 cannot learn midi controls, i press the pedal but nothing happens.
there it's something i should config in the preferences of guitar rig?
Hello @soca-on2pi, we apologize for the delayed response. More than likely the controller is not set in GR6. Follow this procedure:
• Click the 3 dots Next to the GR6 title in the upper right corner which will open up a menu.
• Go to File
• got to preferences
• go to midi
• select your midi controller.

Thank you
Hello @despitesteve, the UNO chip toggles the LED's to show the state of effects like a stompbox
whereas the stock chip does not. However, you will need to purchase the UNO editor to program the UNO chip. It is much easier to use than Mountain Utilities editor and you can use it with the stock chip.
Here is a link: www.fcb1010.uno/index.html
Download the trial to make sure it is compatible with your chip before you purchase the editor. If you need any assistance please feel free to contact us again as we are always happy to help.

@@guitarschoollive Another question, sorry to be a pain, but with the expression pedals, are these the same as the other pedals, or would you leave the macro as a dial rather than a button and then drag that to the, for example, "Wah" dial?
Thanks again :)
Hello @despitesteve, you can either set it to knob or you can midi learn directly to the Wah.

Has anybody been able to get this to work with Guitar Rig 7 in Logic Pro X?
Can't seem to save the button configuration, i.e. it toggles between knob and button according to the preset. Tried saving in the global config but no luck.
Hello Clark Siller, saving global midi controls will save the FCB 1010 pedal configuration to each preset. If you have pedal 1 on the controller assigned to button one in the macro module and select global save, pedal 1 will be assigned to button one in every preset.
As for the buttons not saving when you change presets that’s just visual. The knobs will toggle between 0 and 127 for on and off.
Not sure what the deal is, but I never got to config mode using the approach outlined here.
Hello @melomane2010, thank you for reaching out to us with your issue. When you state that you never made it to config mode explain exactly what is happening so we can assist you in getting the FCB1010 working.

(FL Studio accepts PC messages which allow you to jump around with your presets rather than going in order)
• Are you only looking to control 1 effect per preset?
Guitar School Live
PS, do you use any other amp sims?
FL studio is not too hard if you know where to look. You need to find the parameters in the effects and sample library drop down menus to get to the parameters. From there you can right click on the tabs and link to controller. Then set the cc number and port number to link with your foot controller from there. Worked fine for me. Message me for any further info. Hope this helps.
