  • So yea, this was me trying FL Studio out for the first time, specifically its trial version. The DAW literally every musician uses albeit its hefty price. However, I'm still gonna stick with LMMS for now all because every project instigated in the trial version of FL Studio needs to be done in a single session.
So what was the catalyst for this decision? Well, for all musicians out there watching this video, you might've come across this peculiar user who goes by "AZALI," who is a fantastic musician who uploads these little pieces to TH-cam as a hobby. This then led to a trend that lots of other little musicians decided to hop on - and here I am, doing the same.
Anyway, this fun little song here is also a test of what I could do in just a short period of time, hence the reason for this track not being very long. I prioritized more on fancy chord progressions than length. This was all done in just 3 hours (and that includes setting up all the necessary instruments and filters). The reverb comes from me experimenting different filters available in this DAW but then I thought it sounded pretty awesome so I just kept it in.
Well, enough of this massive wall of text. If you have any thoughts about this piece, let me know in the comments!

Oh hey! Just found out that you were the one AZALI himself collaborated with a while ago. Your percussion work is nothing short of remarkable! How did you learn to mix and master this well?!

@@crow4277 random question but, how did you do the spacey reverb pop thingy in mechanical god at 0:41. heard it a lot in arcaea songs and thought it was cool.

sounds like a mixture of Kirby and the Forgotten Land and DM DOKURO in a good way

    Those chord changes sound amazing!
They remind me of DM Dokuro in particular

that might've been a result of me binging in way too much dokuro stuff lately
(though admittedly, I did try and memorize some patterns in chord progression in his music. I also learnt how truly beautiful they are in the process so that's a bonus!)

Well, you have dropped by my 2021 music recap a while back but hey, fancy seeing you here again! Funny thing is that back then, before 2019, I never had any interest in music production. But ever since I introduced myself to music, my dad sometimes brought up the fact that I had a noticeably higher intellect in music than the norm. This may be in part due to him being a musician back then as well. I probably just got an enhanced version of his genes hehe xD
