- Is Cedar Point worth visiting whilst Top Thrill 2 is closed? We went to find out by experiencing rides like Steel Vengeance, Millennium Force, Valravn, Magnum XL-200 and everything else on offer at this classic American amusement park. We had Cedar Point fast pass (fast lane plus) for our visit, and spent the full day at Cedar Point from 9am to 10pm making use of our Hotel Breakers early access which gets you on the Cedar Point rides an hour before the park fully opens.

The vibe and atmosphere of Cedar Point are unmatched for me. I was there in late May and although I was bummed because top thrill 2 was down, the place is simply uplifting…maybe it’s the history, maybe it’s the fact it’s on a peninsula surrounded by water, maybe it’s all the coasters, but it just feels different.. kinda like a kid walking into Disney World for the first time.
If you can afford it, Hotel Breakers is a must, especially if you are staying at CP more than 1 night. It adds to the whole experience.
Completely agree with this, it truly is a place like no other.
I don’t think I could stay anywhere else now, the two times I’ve stayed at Breakers I’ve had my best visits to the park.
You guys are my favourite you tubers, all such genuine people who’s love for what they do is there for everyone to see.

Your walk along the path next to Magnum XL200 was my highlight, I get those feelings too at parks sometimes, and you described it perfectly, always a buzz when your mood lifts again, and it usually is something as simple as the sound of wheels on track. Cedar Downs is the only one left where the horses still move back and forth. The ride was originally at Euclid Beach in Cleveland but was sold to Cedar Point before the park closed in 1969.
It was still good to do it, it was a weird sensation it moving backwards and forwards because the one at Blackpool hasn’t done that for at least 15 years.
I'm glad you enjoyed Cedar Point. I'm retired and live nearby. I get in a lot of walking, riding coasters, and watching the shows. It's very cost-effective for seniors as I can also eat twice a day for 6 months on their excellent meal plan. I love to see people who enjoy themselves here!

I did my 5am run through the park while staying at Breakers (Must Stay there) Was epic lights were on the rides, park empty, was like a scene out of Zombieland.

Very entertaining vlog. Everyone really seemed to enjoy the day. So many great coasters with good company and nice weather. You could easily spend a small fortune on the Cedar Point merch. Staying at Breakers Hotel is the icing on the cake, it's so convenient. 😃👍 I'll get to go there someday, you've got to have a bucket list to keep the dream alive. 🤞
Spent far too much on merch 😂 That shop we showed in the vlog is one of about twenty merch shops in the park.

Great vibes with you all - really welll done taking a chill for yourself and letting us viewers know. Makes you seem even more human and relatable. Id get exhausted just walking around some of the parks you visit never mind doing the rides. I don't often comment sorry but I do enjoy your channel. Makes me wonder if I'll ever visit one of the UK parks again though - in comparison they look so dated and yet expensive. and cold and wet.

Great blog. You can totally see the Big One in Magnum. Big One is definitely the better looking of the two.
The Big One has the better first drop, and the turnaround is easier on the eye, otherwise there's only really one winner.
Big One's original train design was better too.
Was nice getting to meet you, was in Lara and Alan's group.
Just did a three day visit with them at the breakers, and heading back again this Saturday.

Same here. Actually got to ride everything coaster wise twice minimum a few Sundays ago thanks to FL+, had next to no lines on that priority lane aside from stupid vengeance (ride was still top tier but I might give gwazi the edge for keeping things unique in its layout) because of no fanny packs allowed
I definitely prefer Iron Gwazi out of the two

Manchester > Dublin > Cleveland.
Taxi from Cleveland airport to Cedar Point is around $60, split that up between a few of you and it’s quite cheap 😊

Weird how Dublin is cheaper than Manchester to get to Cleveland😂. A day at emerald park wouldn’t do any harm on the way

The further bar the better on coasters in my opinion because I love getting pulled/whipped over hills especially on magnum, Gemini and millennium force

I went for my first visit in may. Magnum rough as old boots, millenium good, SV and maverick awesome, raptor good, blue streak awful. valravn good. nice park. i found kings island better for coasters per size. gatekeeper was good but a little weak and not forceful enough and no air time.

Thank you :) I did do one a few years ago but looking back, it's a bit rubbish.
Best thing I'd recommend now is looking at British Airways site, you can now do Manchester > Dublin > Cleveland, or London Heathrow > Dublin > Cleveland through them (it's Aer Lingus for the longer flight). If you drive, hire a car and make the 60 minute ish journey to the park from Cleveland, if you don't drive the price of an Uber or Taxi tends to be $60 ish each way.
Remember the park has a short season, May to October, and aren't always open weekdays. It's expensive, but get fast lane plus to maximise your time.

We were looking at doing London direct to detroit potentially if we can get them at a good price but obviously we would then have a longer drive the other end. Price will probably dictate which route we take I reckon!

As far as amusement parks go, definitely
Twisted timbers has the same metal detector/lockers policy which I hated but I can understand why parks do it
It’s a pain
Even after all these years. Millennium is still my favorite steel coaster.
We really enjoyed it this time
Magnum was pretty thrilling, but it destroyed my legs 😂. If you like Magnum you should try Superman at Six Flags New England, one of my favorite hypers.

Cedar Point is my home park. We live just one hour away and have the gold pass. I no longer ride Steel Vengeance because of the pain. 😬

Mate I'm think of going to cedar point,I will going on my own have absolutely no clue best way to get there and where to shop online for best variety,ie fast pass and food passes etc. Sorry sound so clueless but I just not experienced. Any help and tips please?.

If you fly to Cleveland, it's around an hour to Cedar Point.
