Jason wasn’t bad when he sang it, Jeff was ok, & Neil no he’s awful when it comes to singing it he’ll eventually leave the band i have that gut feeling and Eric Baines the bass player will take over as the main lead vocalist, you know what’s bizarre is Chris pinnick did the 17 tour but didn’t do any of the music videos he actually played on 2 or 3 tracks on lead guitar on the record which were hard habit to break & he played on 1 or 2 more songs, the other guitar parts were done by either Bill Champlin who’s new group with Chicago members Jeff coffey & Keith howland, the players is amazing, I wish they’d add DaWayne Bailey to the players as co lead guitarist & have bill be a keyboardist & rhythm guitarist, & have Keith switch from lead to rhythm like do both, & get rid of John Paris & bring in tris imboden. If their in Idaho for a show bill should ask Peter you wanna do a couple songs with us like he could do hard habit to break & you’re the inspiration. But I will say Bobby lamm & Jimmy pankow are two of the biggest douchebags on the planet, I mean Lee is their but he’s like the 3rd default celebrity in the band Robert is first, than Jimmy, than Lee, Loren gold can’t do hard habit to break right, they need Lou pardini back, but the way they treated cetera when he left was uncalled for just cuz his ex brother in law Bobby lamm wanted him out of the band out of all the guys that voted him out it was, Bobby, Jimmy, Lee, & I think Chris was still in the band I think he had the tie breaking vote, out of all the guys that said no it was Danny, bill, & Walt, may have just been Danny and bill that didn’t vote him out, Danny said the genesis deal for cetera that Phil Collins had with genesis he said that’s what they should’ve done for Chicago had that happened glory of love becomes another number 1 hit for Chicago, they don’t record will you still love me, if she would’ve been faithful or what kind of man would I be, I still think bill records look away & I don’t wanna live without your love. So that’s my take. It really isn’t fair the way cetera’s departure was handled.
@@joshuaecht I’ll have to read it, I hate Bobby & Jimmy they emotionally wanted Peter out of the band and that was uncalled for, I think when Danny was fired I think Walt was the only one who said no him & Dawayne, DaWayne was gonna expose that Chicago wasn’t a democracy and members were leaving hand in hand because of Robert & Jimmy, & he was in a relationship with Walt parazaider’s oldest kid, & they voted him out of the band in favor of another guitarist can’t remember his name he was in the band for like a few months before Keith howland came in. They need scheff back though that’s how bad it is Loren doesn’t have the barritone pipes for hard habit to break if Lou pardini was ever interested in coming back I would welcome him back with open arms.
@@phsycopiano Same here. It's blasphemy how the majority of their 1984 Tokyo concert was posted many times here on fb, yet they don't have videos of them doing Hard Habit To Break or this song. What the f**k man???
Lon Tanner it’s quite possible they toured early in the year for the Japan concert and hadn’t had those songs as well as Along Cones A Woman. They do Stay the Night and STN was the first released single so it makes sense.
@b s ya know my initial response seemed angry. I apologize. I should respect my (clearly much older) elders. I appreciate your trying to clear this up for me. The problem was the video said it was performed 1985 which is why I was confused even though you guys are saying it was performed before the album release. Hope you get why I was asking that now. Thank you.
Im assuming the high harmony was Kenny Cetera. I don't recall seeing him in any of the live video performances from the 17 tour. Was he just a backup singer or did he play any instruments?
More than likely Kenny cetera who’s peters brother he’s like 12 or 13 years younger than Peter I think, I think he’s only like 64 or 65 maybe older than that maybe 68 or 69.
No one does it like Peter Cetera. Of my favorite singers of all time. Great guitar work at the end too.
I love CHICAGO with Peter Cetera on Vocals. soooooo great.

A Great Live Version of "You're The Inspiration." By Far the best Live Version Ever.
Saw Chicago live many moons ago.- loved their sound.
That golden voice, the only voice that should be singing this song or any other Peter Cetera coined song.
Amen!

The Real Thing!!!!
Is this the only You're the Inspiration live with Cetera ever recorded? Too bad there's no video version of this concert.
I’m thinking it is. I’m so cherishing it.

@b s what? That doesn’t even make sense. If you’re trying to be funny you just ended up sounding stupid.

When Live used to mean live.
Im assuming the high harmony was Kenny Cetera. I don't recall seeing him in any of the live video performances from the 17 tour. Was he just a backup singer or did he play any instruments?
He played a keyboard--but I have a feeling it was more to give him something to do than it was to cover super important parts.
Kenny is his younger brother if I’m not mistaken younger by like 12 or 13 years.
Who was singing the high parts? Bill and Robert normally sings the low parts. Was it Loughane?
Probably Kenny Cetera.
