Army size is based on your pop. That 24 is just the retinue. Your villagers can fight too.

Gosh i loved the open beta and the game has only gotten way better!

i really hope the developer reworks the development point system i really dont like it as is, if you only get 4 or 5 points per city/region, you'll get nowhere really fast, the key as i see it in this game is to diversify every city as much as possible instead of specializing, because you can't even get enough points to really specialize at all.
I would love to see you get 2 points every time you level up your city and/or an extra for upgrading the church, putting down your manor, tax collector and garrison tower, to give more options, and really get the most of your city, or just do away with that whole system and let you do everything in all cities/regions.
