I gotta say, it has been quite the journey to reach this rank. I remember when I switched to next gen console (I guess, current gen if were going to be honest.) other people use to think I was a modder because of my high rank. Been playing since day-one of online. My 2 accounts are level. 500 & 148. I've definitely had some months where I played more than I'm proud of, but over 4 years, it averages to about 8 hours a week. So, hardly a 'never see the sun' type, considering some of those hours were marathons on the weekend. And only about half of that online time was serious grinding. My friends and I goof off in free mode almost as much as we grind. So for those who think anything over 300 or 400 is B-S, I have to disagree. Most of the crew I play with are lvl 350 - 750 and all play clean, since as a group, we despise cheaters/modders. I know some VERY serious, play-all-the-time types, who have legitimately got to level 1100 - 1200. Knowing how much they play (and almost exclusively racing, death-match, and other RP earning PvP games), I would put that near the top of what some players could reasonably have earned legit after 4 years. So, I will give the benefit of the doubt if I see 1000-1500, since even though it would be rare, it's definitely possible. Now, even allowing for "GTA is Life" types, who might put in 40+ hours a week (for 4 years), I can't be convinced 2000 or higher is legit. Especially since most of those over 2000 ranks "just happen" to be even numbers. Seeing 4000, 6000, 7000 etc, is a dead giveaway to a modded account.

I had a new character and ranked up to 125 in a month, I play stunt races and heists. I invest my money into race cars so I have a better chance of winning. Racing’s fun and easy unless you’re in a lobby full of people that can’t win a race without pushing people. 🙄

I don't know if you know this, but every time that you rank up one level, you will need that much RP plus an extra 50 RP for the next level and an extra 50 RP for each level after that. That's why you rank up so quickly when your rank is low. After I hit level 1000, I did the math & once you reach level 1000 you need an extra 50000 RP plus the regular amount of RP to reach level 1001. And when you reach level 1500, you will need an extra 75000 RP to reach level 1501. Well you get the idea. Both the best rank up method & best money making method, at least the legitimate ones, are BORING. SO, JUST GET OUT THERE & HAVE SOME FUN! JUST LIKE YOU SAID! AWESOME VIDEO!

For those wondering, the formula for the RP (reputation points, or "experience") is:
f(x)=25x² + 23,575x - 1,023,150 -- where 'x' is the rank.
For example, if x = 8000, then:
f(x) = (25 x 64,000,000) + (23,575 x 8,000) - 1,023,150
f(x) = 1,600,000,000 + 188,600,000 - 1,023,150
f(x) = 1787576850 (as is revealed in the video at 3:41)
Generally speaking, after rank 99, the rank increases by an extra 50 RP. (This is, the difference in the ranks increases by 50).
For example, the difference from 99 to 100 is +28550, and from 100 to 101 is +28600, and so on.
CEO crates is the best XP u can get from each mission, which levels me up every 2-3 crate missions
and now peytote plants are the newest best way. they might be nerfed soon tho

I'm at level 1027 with 1 character & 288 with the other. Although I deleted 2 other characters at levels 393 & 274.
I don't know if you know this, but every time that you rank up one level,
you will need that much RP plus an extra 50 RP for the next level and an extra 50 RP for each level after that.
That's why you rank up so quickly when your rank is low.
After I hit level 1000, I did the math & once you reach level 1000
you need an extra 50000 RP plus the regular amount of RP to reach level 1001.
And when you reach level 1500, you will need an extra 75000 RP to reach level 1501.
Well you get the idea. Both the best rank up method & best money making method, at least the legitimate ones, are BORING.
