this would be great if I could afford to actually make a deck in this game

The only reason I could, really is that I've been at it for years. That and luck of the draw with packs and drafts. 😅 But I totally get what you're saying.

I"m having such a hard time figuring out why on earth you would put Evolving Wilds, why not just more mountains, all this does is slow you down a turn and when you have a red fast deck you want speed. Imagine getting an Evolving Wilds first turn, well that turn is wasted, but what if you get it your second turn or 3, ect..... each time you put that down it wastes a potential more mana turn

@LoveAngelesMusic I actually had a coworker ask me that very same question. So ideally, if I could, I would run fetch lands that bring my Mountains in untapped. Since those aren't currently available in Standard, I run the fetch lands I have available to me.
Running fetch lands in a mono-colored deck is only to help thin the deck out, really. Activating the fetch land is like drawing the exact card I want (the Mountain), and I get to have it out, rather than sending it to my hand and having to wait to play it.
This red deck is a little slower than most because the creatures are doing most of the work instead of the spells. In all the games I've played with it, there really wasn't a setback having a turn-1 Evolving Wilds, because I'd consistently end up with enough Mountains that I'd be able to use the Evolving Wilds at a time that was strategically beneficial to me without wasting a turn.
      TL;DR
But mostly, with red, I don't want too many lands, I want to get to the spells, and using fetches to pull lands out and get me closer to drawing the good stuff helps that along. With this deck specifically and the current Standard environment, the land coming in tapped doesn't hurt the rest of the strategy.
One last thing. I went to your page and checked out a bit of your music. I really like it! 😊
