Oh yes!!! This is wonderful!!! Totally sounds like a very drunk chap trying to explain something to you in the pub!! All jokes aside though, love Guy and his videos! A real gem.
I'm always amazed at how easy and simple you create music. in just one breath. this is incredible. I think you could create music simply by recording everyday sounds from the world around you. Waiting the open day meeting)
Thank you Guy, another great tutorial. I’ve had the original Free Orchestra from Project Sam for a while now and I wasn’t aware of the Free Orchestra 2 until now. This has now been added to my library. The good news is that all the previous instruments that Project Sam have added to Orchestra 2 ( before April 2024) are downloaded with the installation so I haven't missed out on anything. Can’t wait for the forthcoming instruments. Keep up the good work and I look forward to your next video.
Hey Guy! Love your videos and love exploring free plugins as well. By the way, a little while back I found out that you're the composer of the Eyewitness Nature educational video theme. That theme song is great and so nostalgic for people of my generation, so thank you for that! Do you think at some point you could maybe talk about it in a video or during a live stream? I would love to hear what your thought process was creating it
Awesome libraries put together towards an awesome presentation with awesome tutorial by none other than awesome Guy! All for free! Absolutely love it!!
Guy I love watching your videos, but the joy and the inspiration is always tinged with sadness because you make it look so easy and in the back of my head I'm thinking I could sit at my DAW for months and never come up with a piece of music as effective as some of what you knock up in half an hour to demonstrate these tools to us, but please dont ever stop.
I started this project 5 years ago and I am about to find the limitations too. However I now help new composers to start their journey with free libraries, like the way I did!
So called "free" instruments can be absolutely great, "free" should not have a negative connotation. Myself, I have had music made with free instruments used on various high end productions (i.e. BBC)
Agreed. I get crap all the time for using free stuff. Just the other day i tried to take home a free TV from Walmart. Security was like "what are you thinking?." It's like they hate on you for nothing.
Excellent, as alway ! Thanks for letting us know about these freebies. Thay are both awesome. I love The free Orchestra, and number two sounds great too.
Taking a MA degree to learn from working professionals - Its not half bad/worth it Taking a MA degree so you can talk personally with Guy, The Legend Himself LIVE and learn from him - Totally worth it
since I have Cubase 13 with it's Iconica orchestral sounds, Padshop, Retrologue and - of course - the Samplertrack, I dont need much thirdparty stuff. Great times!
Guy, you're making wonderful tutorials! Can you also make a studio tour, I think it would be great for us to see all the gear you have and use to create those lovely videos, and maybe what do you normally use when you have a professional gig, which libraries etc. Keep up the great work!
Mad as a box of frogs, but wrings out the best from libraries annoyingly effortlessly. Project Sam's incredible but I'd never heard of Silver, so thanks for the heads-up.
My hope has been revived! I now know that i can make good music with FREE instruments. Thank you Guy! One question though, how did you install The Free Orchestra 2 without any issues? No matter how many solutions I tried, I can't for the life of me install it.
Follow the instructions and once you've added the serial number to Native Access, close it... open it again and Free Orchestra should show up under the "New" section.
Guy makes it all sound good. I'm glad to see you cover the new Free Sam. The Sul tasto strings are my favorite of Sam's new free library. They cover pretty much the whole range of the keyboard/string section, and sound really really, can I add another really, good! I did have some problem with one of the free libaries going dead for some reason after I got it, perhaps due to a Kontakt update, but it was pretty easy to just download it again. The octave add feature is a nice and useful touch for any and all of them. The Bold Legato Brass is nice but the limited range does hamper what you can really do with it, other than a few nice accents, just about the time you want to use it for a melody you tend to run out of notes or if you try to pick up the tempo it also shows its unreal nature. The harp I was excited to get, but find it kind of limited as far as volume, didn't seem to have much variety and is so up close on mic sound it doesn't sound very real in some compositions, but hey it's free, and Guy makes it work better than what I'd been able to get out of it so far. Audio Bro Silver I was totally unaware of, so that's very nice to be introduced to. I also like to see a mix of different companies samples and how to make them play together. I've always liked dipping into various companies sounds rather than just go whole hog with only one or the other companies products for a whole composition. I've always felt it feels more unique and have more personality if you mix and match rather than have someone who knows go, Oh, yeah that's Spitfire studio Brass.
ooh.. i'm the 1000th like :-), i have an old midi file I think I want to hear with some new sounds.. vs the old General MIDI and Roland Sound Canvas I used way back when.
@ThinkSpaceEducation I've been Subscribed to your channel for a couple of years but I'm not able to get any notifications. I set it for all but it only allow for no notifications. I think this is due to a setting on your side as a content creator.
Guy, I wasn't aware of silver. I downloaded, entered codes, installed, but it comes up as demo. Did you experience this? If so, what was your workaround thank you.

To listen to a very drunk Guy Michelmore, set the speed to 0.5 .. that saves my day always 🙂
Drunk on tea?

Buddy, you're not alone.
Project Sam Free Orchestra 1 & 2 are superb. Looking forward to trying Silver - now that you've reminded me about it! 🙂
That’s the most effective thumbnail I’ve ever seen in the music genre. Amazing!

Silver is great give it a go
since you asked about the Harp, i like it, it might add even more suspense if it were uneven repetitions instead of groups of 4 ;)
yes you might be right
Wow... Awesome...

You really can - you just need skill inspiration and technique!

Shoul;d have used Valhalla Supermassive rather than Blackhole, as it too is free, and highly reocmmended (often by you!)
3:50 sounds very like Mellotron 400 strings.

Finally, I knew what was going on.
I contacted Audiobro and was given access.
Well Guy don't you dare come to my doorstep, or you'll have milk and cookies 🙂
Or do you want to, then I make a remark about your Glasses of Doubt
No one is particularly good at beats played on a keyboard, that's what electronic drum kits are for, or offset note repeaters.
very true
I'd leave a bad comment just so I could meet the man the legend Guy😊😊😊
be careful what you wish for.....
