I watched your video a week ago and ordered the proper needs, pad, finger protectors from Amazon. I already had a cute kit of a tiny pig. Well, today, I've worked 50 minutes on one tiny pig ear, and it's still not right. I've only bled once. haha🐖🐽
Well done for not giving up! It's hard learning a new skill. Have you watched my video Beginner To Expert Needle Felters ? th-cam.com/video/YQu-qhouHFo/w-d-xo.html It shows expert needle felters beginner projects. Some of them have shown such amazing progress. It definitely shows that we can learn this skill if we are willing to put in the time and effort (and sometimes blood😂) Keep at it! I’m sure you will pick it up in no time!
Wow! Thank you so much for this incredible tutorial. I have been interested in needle felting for some time, but finally took the plunge to buy my first beginner kit. I have been looking for tutorial videos and your is by far the best. Thank you for taking the time to explain things thoroughly. I can’t wait to try the lady bug! 🐞
Awww, thank you for your kind words. I am so happy my video was helpful and I'm so excited for you and your felting journey! Goodluck with your ladybug 💕❤️💕
So glad I came across your channel! Have been interested in felting. Happen to see someone making ornaments. Good, but really didn’t get all the info for this craft. Thank you for all the info!!!
i just got a needle felting kit from my grandma so now im going to learn it all i want to learn to do 3d projects soo im saving the time here ↓ . 20:01
Thank you so much ,I bought myself a pack of needle felting over a year ago to start to make something but could not find a tutorial easy enough for me to follow, this is perfect.I will definitely be trying needle felting this year x
I am so happy that this video was helpful and now you can get started on your felting journey! I have to admit though that it is quite addictive... just don't blame me.... 😉😇💕
Perfect video! I learned how to felt and knit at a Waldorf school growing up. I kept knitting but forgot how to felt so I’ll definitely be using this video to re-learn!
Yes, I just realized that too! ha The needle that came with my little kit is completely wrong as well as bending in the first 5 minutes. Off to Amazon I go.😊
Thank You so much!!!! I was always wondering what to get or how to do it. I will definitely try and see if I can do a project. Thank You so much again 👍🌻
Tack.
This is a very informative video and easy to understand for the beginner. I have my first kit coming in next week! I am even more excited after watching your video.
Hi new subscriber jyst there.thank you fr your time and energy. And putting a start up list...wat could I make felting tools from? Im a tattist and have unused tattoo needles i could make into felting needles?
great video! love the needle drawings they are a lot better to see the needle detail then trying to show the needles im new to this and have got some kits but have not started as of yet. iv also seen some one using a needle that is forked at the tip for pushing in longer hair like fibers for hair or fur affect.
I am so happy that this video was helpful to you and thank you for your kind words! My daughter actually laughed at my drawings, but I really couldn't show the needles any other way, so I went with it anyway and now I am glad that I did. 😊 I think it can be intimidating to see all of the beautiful and amazing needle felted creations out there, but all of those people were beginners once too. Start small and aim for improvement, not perfection. It really is easy to begin, fun too, and you'll see improvement and skill develop in no time! There are quite a few different types of needles out there, but I admit that I haven't come across a forked needle... so I'm off in search of a forked needle! 🤣 Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me a comment.💕
@@waldorfwonderthings heck i just learned today that some people use chalk to shade the felted items and the only reason i found that out is cus one of the kits i bought came with a bit of chalk but did not show it being used in the pictures of the directions and i have no idea if it mentioned it in the text cus it was a foreign language lol so i had to go on a hunt to find out what it was for lol
@@waldorfwonderthings ya it was from china or japan so i did also try the translator on my phone to try to read the text to see if maybe the chalk was mentioned and still nope ! why would they make a beginners kit and not tell you what all the things are for ? silly if you ask me luckily i don't give up that easy and there is awesome people out there like you that are easy to learn from so thank you ! Did you ever find that that forked or crowned needle? I seen some on the Heidi Feathers site
I haven't used one personally, but I know of some needle felters that do use them. I would be concerned if a needle broke while it was working and I couldn't find the end of it. I wanted to say especially if it is a toy but then again, I don't really want to lose the end of a needle in anything.

I make manly thumb-sized stuffed kittens, puppies and other manly animals for my nieces, nephews and the spawn of my friends. My manly ovaries hurt when I see their reactions to these new manly toys. I also make manly coasters, beanies, hats, and scarves for their parents. I was searching for some manly brochet ideas when i found this video.
