@Ownedbynoted it depends on what you want to go for, but Every hit should either be a sprinthit or crit, in some rare scenarios you could sweephit, like to keep a combo if someone is s holding (sprinthit means hitting while sprinting)
I mean, I am thinking that's better than me so there's that.
My tips are
1: you need to sprint
2: try to bait them so you can either start a combo or crit chain

@Ownedbynoted and yes if you want to keep getting sprinthits you should let go of sprint and press it again, this is called sprint resetting
You should use toggle sprint, it helps you keep sprinting if you forget to hold your sprint key
