Geboortepark Zwijndrecht, Belgium

In Zwijndrecht, Belgium, is a park called Geboortepark (Park of Birth).
There are 10 groups of 6 trees with 1-2 pillars in between. Ech group of trees is a different kind of tree. Each pillar represents a year and it shows all the names of the children from Zwijndrecht who are born during that year. The first year is 2000.
The gate stands symbol for renewal, mental rebirth or the start of a new beginning of a fase in your life. The tramp, refugee who tries to find a home.
The grass is only mown once or twice a year, to give the rare plants the chance of growing and forming seeds. It gives a very beautifyll bed of flowers during the spring and summer. It also brings a lot of insects and birds.
There are only a few 'paths' that are mown so people can walk to the pillars.
