    Though I have no plans to actually play SMM2, now that Nintendo has fully killed SMM1, I've decided that I'm willing to port some of my levels over to the lesser game by special request.
    This level needed only slight layout adjustments to account for not being able to place anything in the 6x3 starting region in SMM2.
    Of particular note is that the SMM2 physics engine is incredibly janky (i.e. inconsistent) when it comes to various behaviors, one of which is crossing gaps at less than maximum running speed. In SMM1, there was simply a threshold speed that, once surpassed, ensured you could always safely run over one-wide gaps in the ground. Thus it was possible to consistently finish this Donut Shuffle by swinging out wide on the final cycle (dropping the left donut as you turn around), which gives you enough running speed to surpass that safe threshold and run right to the goal.
    Not so in SMM2. About half the time you will simply fall into the gap between donut and brick no matter what you do. (Thanks, Nintendo.)
    Anyway, this was among the first levels I ever made in SMM1, and back then I didn't much bother with aesthetics. This time around I made some effort to make the level look presentable. I generally favor a spare, minimalist style, but nonetheless I think the look of the SMM2 level is a big improvement over SMM1.
