Thank you for posting this. I just bought a TW-2 and my dealer didn't have a grate in stock, so it's being shipped. I understand that the TW-2's in the future will all come with a hydraulic lift. I think that's a bad move if true. I bought this splitter for its size and the ability to be stored in my garage. If this splitter had that lift, I wouldn't be able to store it and therefore, I wouldn't of bought it. Sometimes the more features on a machine, gives it more reasons for troubles and break downs. KISS--Keep It Simple! I been splitting wood for firewood for close to 20 years. I have used Tractor Supply splitters and my current splitter, which I plan to retire is an Iron Oak. I'm excited about this TW-2 and its 4-way wedge.
