@@spencerearl9964 that really is not relevant from a legal standpoint.
Best case scenario there were “fighting words” exchanged, but that is a really hard case to argue, and then you still get arrested and have to make that argument in court.
Then you have the issue of five people pulling one guy in and taking part. No matter what happened. Dude could have cold clocked the guy and that is what instigated the fight, a lawyer is going to have a really hard time saying the one guy, unarmed, posed a threat to the group of 5 people immediately involved and the other 5-6 people just standing and watching. They are kind of legally screwed imo. If there was no video, then maybe you argue that it was chaotic and nobody knew what was really happening and they were just trying to “protect their teammate” but the video is pretty clear that this is not what happened. Those guys are are lucky dude didn’t get more seriously injured. I’ve seen “attempted murder” assigned to less than this
Also, my brother is a cop. The did nothing because this type of security detail is supposed to be an easy job. They were not wanting to do that paperwork, especially when it would invite public scrutiny of the department.

Wtf is wrong with some ppl? It does NOT matter if these guys were verbally taunting anyone. It's a right as a citizen to have free speech. If you disagree with my words or are emotionally hurt then you have the right to assault?
Well, what if the next person's words hurt me twice as much? Then it's OK or acceptable to do worse than assault?

They did not start any physical altercation as per the myriads of videos taken. When I played football, I never took my helmet off until I was in my own locker room. When you spend an entire game hitting an opponent as hard as you can, sometimes they take it personally. Michigan Stadium is a joke that despite the money that they make there, they run both teams through a common tunnel where something like this can occur.
