    The Sailor Manyo Sakura is one of my favorite inks to see in a big swatch; the pink and orange together is just so pretty.

    It's crazy what a difference paper makes! I have a bottle of Lady Rose and it's a beautiful dusty rose. Your swatch is so grey/brown, it looks like a completely different ink.
    I have been enjoying all your ink explorations. Thanks for doing all the work to put them together.

      Thank you!! It really is crazy that paper changes the ink color. Midori paper always make ink look WAYYY different to me haha. And Rhodia is very bright and I feel like it absorbs some of the color even. But, I think it is part of the fun!

    Brunch Date is definitely a "weird" color, but I use it in so many of my pens because I have several Kit Pens made by wood turners and a lot of copper pens, so it pairs really well with more natural, earth-toned pens. I have a lot of pale pink pens, too, but I always pair them with a darker or brighter pink ink for the contrast and readability. I tend to stay away from very light inks, but it is hard to resist the pinks, especially when you have a lot of pink pens with broad nibs! Rose Gold Antiqua is one of my all-time favorites!

      I never thought to classify Brunch date as a copper color, that is such a good description! 💝 Thank you for sharing Mara, I love hearing about your pen/ink collection 😊 You make me want more pens all the time haha

    Another beautiful ink show. I think the Colorverse looks like a peach, but a rosy peach. Lovely as always. I hope you keep these up because I love watching your inks. THANK YOU❣

    Thank you for sharing your ink obsession, which we all share. Your video is so timely. I just splurged on BENU Tropical Blush pen. I never thought I would fall in love with such a pink pen. But, here I am looking for the perfect ink. Thank you. Looking forward to the purples!!

    That monterverde rose pink reminds me of Kobe 57 or 56 (the hydrangea princess one). I have neither of those inks, but from seeing the swatches (maybe foxglove from troublemaker inks, those look similar to me. (That’s actually what I thought the swatch was from your thumbnail) I know Vaness carries kobe ink bottles and samples, but yeah I love the way you swatch and describe inks 😊
    Maybe a video on chromo-shading inks? Or favorite chromoshading inks?

    • @mydandeliondiaries
      @mydandeliondiaries  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I want to pick up more of the Kobe inks! I'll have to check out the 2 numbers you mentioned. I also haven't tried the Foxglove by Troublemakers, it always gets sold out when I look haha.
      I think a collection of chromoshading inks would be so cool!! I 100% will work on doing that.

    I ended up with a light pink shade - Colorverse Sgr. It’s lovely, but man do I need a broad nib to get it to be legible. I had thought to use it for journaling, but I’m thinking it would be better for adding decorative swirls and such. It’s a beautiful color. Btw, I adore you inksplorations. I’ve purchased numerous bottles of inks after seeing them swatched on your playlist and have started a swatch book of my own. You are an inspiration.

    • @mydandeliondiaries
      @mydandeliondiaries  ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't tried Colorverse Sgr. personally, but I have used FWP Strawberry Macaroon (super light pink) as a wash on paper to give it a watercolor type look. I find that that light inks work beautifully for that. I hope you can find a good use for it!
      Thank you so much 💝💝 These videos are so fun to make and I'm so glad you enjoy them 😊 I"m glad your ink collection is growing 😜 I love seeing others with an ink obsession like me 😂

      Would either be good as a highlighter or too dark to read the text underneath?

  • @ajc7295

    Would the rose gold shimmer ink look good with a fine nib? Ink newbie here 😅😂

    • @mydandeliondiaries
      @mydandeliondiaries  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a terrible answer, but it depends!! I find that certain fine nibbed pens handle shimmer great, but others do not 😅 I personally like to put Rose Gold Antiqua in a Medium nib, BUT, if you have a pen with a larger feed (the plastic behind the nib) it would likely handle shimmer better. For example, the Jinhao X159 or TWISBI Eco do great, but Pilot Kakuno or Platinum Preppy struggle with the shimmer for me. I always test my shimmer inks in more affordable pens just in case I have a problem I'm not damaging a pen that is harder to replace! However, I will say the Esterbrook Estie Fine handles ALL the shimmer I have ever thrown at it. I hope that helps!
