...one more thing I would like to humbly add ... The place on top where the King sits...is safe because ...any visitor coming to see the King ... standing at the centre of the Hall ..anything he does can be heard and moreover even if he tries to throw a weapon or fire a gun the weapon will be blocked by the arches ...because they are built in such a way... This marvel should be preserved for generations...!!

I had been to Golcunda Fort after appearing my final graduation exam. in 1975. Next I went there in the year 2015. Many halls have been blocked, may be due to overcrowd. In '75 there were hardly any visitors; also it was isolated from main city. Now all the surrounding areas are under threat of modernisation. Buildings, markets, shops, flyovers, etc have ruined the beauty of the monument as it was earlier.
Regarding acoustic science, it was astonishing and remarkable. In '75, our guide explained and shown how clapping or even murmuring from the rooftop of the fort which is under the open sky echoed down to the main entrance
which is under à dome and vice versa. Our guide had spoken few words from rooftop to his acquaintance standing at the entrance gate and he replied instantly. The arial distance of both points would be no less 1&1/2 km! Also the ventilation system was unique! There was a open window inside a hall where wind is blowing from outside 24x7. This wind used to distribute in all other halls of the main fort.
Next time, on my visit, I found that window is blocked, staircase to the rooftop is also blocked!
What an application of acoustics & ventilation system! 😇

I am from Hyderabad. Indeed the Golconda fort, Seven Tombs, Charminar, Makkah Masjid, etc,. are phenomenal architecture and setting the example to the current architect. you are doing great job for promoting the heritage sites of India and undoubtedly these diversified heritages and cultures makes India ultimately unique in the whole world. Please try making in English as well for foreign country viewers to promote tourism.

@@soheil527 Golconda was originally known as Mankal. Golconda Fort was first built by the Kakatiyas as part of their western defenses along the lines of the Kondapalli Fort. The fort was rebuilt and strengthened by Rani Rudrama Devi and her successor Prataparudra. Later, the fort came under the control of the Musunuri Nayakas, who defeated the Tughlaqi army occupying Warangal. It was ceded by Musunuri Kapaya Nayaka to the Bahmani Sultanate as part of a treaty in 1364.

I live in Golconda and there was a lot that could"ve been shown to the viewers like the hot and cold water supply system and Naginabagh along with teesri manzil which was a residential place of queens. There was a garden which had all sorts of flowers exported from almost all parts of the world. Simply superb. Thanks for exploring my Golconda Vaibhaviji. Gold bless you.
Last but not least when I was small I had one marble (kancha) stuck in the front cannon of Balahisar door.
