Jay i recently broke a pinky toe and it took 3 months the orthopedic guy told me even when its "healed" it will still be fragile compared to unbroken for a few more months as the bones keep filling in for longer then it takes to initially mend them
Ac shoulder separation last winter 7 weeks ahead of our annual winter surf vacation. I was able to surf surprisingly without a whole lot of pain. Hang in there Jay. If you're still not healed up before your trip maybe focus on diving or fishing or photography or something. Sometimes being sidelined can help discover new passions 🤙
Hi Jay, I'm right there with you, I'm on week 12 of recovery now, same break and shoulder as yours, yes like a ball of bone isn't it, I had the exact same muscle pain across the back of the break like you showed. My arm was in a sling for pretty much 2 months, free of the sling for a month and had my first surf yesterday, was much better than I thought still a bit uncomfortable but can ride nicely and paddle/duck dive fine. I've had a few x-rays now and is healing ok, I kind of wish I had the surgery too, friends all said the same at the beginning which is annoying but I just went off what the doc said. The lump is weird huh, I'm here in Cornwall Uk, summer was so flat for 2 months which was perfect and checking the chart praying and seeing no lows was satisfying haha although the swells have started to push in and I missed a few solid days, horrible feeling and got real down, stoked from getting in yesterday but I certainly won't be punching any lips anytime soon, I'm happy with just riding and drawing lines for now though, I wish you good luck healing, I feel going on this video that you're recovering much faster than I have been so you should be all good to at least get in and catch a couple soon, all the best to you, Jp 🤙
Hope healing fast , Team Coquí Bodyboarders always here
You guys are still the hardest working people in boogworld!

Love your attitude!
Get well bro 🇵🇷👍🤙
All the best healing. Watch out for mountain lions. They take out wounded bodyboarders all the time.
Not surfing for 2 weeks sucks, 1 month is hell especially if you see everyone else heading out on a perfect day
