Thank you for the compliment. I modified a fishing net to fit a gopro mount. I removed the net and used the used the retractable pool. If this is something you want to do then you will need a red lense and the water proof housing. Depending on how deep you plan on going. The lense I used is for 15 - 30'. Figure out how deep you will be going. Have a great time.
No. When you equalize the sinus pressure in your head, you can adjust to the over head water pressure. as you descend, pinch your nose then softly blow your nose to relieve pressure. The guilds were very helpful.
what I like about walking underwater instead of swimming is that it seems like your on the moon. Slow tiny steps. Water and space are really similar. You float in both and you can't breathe in both. You naturally don't walk in them so when you do, it makes it seem like a different experience, if that makes sense.
I did this in Punta Cana. Great experience but they charged us 40 dollars for the video and the quality was garbage. This is way better! btw if you have ever tried Snuba which would you recommend more? This or Snuba
my family had taken a snorkeling boat out to go see part of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia last June, and only after we got back to land did I see they had one of these tours available. My reaction was, "Now, I could role play as one of Captain Nemo's crew from '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea' if I had seen that earlier."
it looks like you have your own camera down there. Was this a ship excursion? All the ones listed on Carnival say no cameras. They force you to buy the pics from them.
Nice. I've always figured the photos or videos of the adventure are available at an extra cost. Anyone can take a camera, or is this a promo? Where/how did you mount your GoPro?
I still woldn't feel 100% safe. I t would be better if it was attached to the body in some way. What would happen if someone fall off. Think about it :>
I did this it’s a lot more fun than it looks I’ve used scuba gear in a large pool once and would say this is not really at all like it more like really deep snorkeling would definitely recommend if you don’t have a license
I would imagine so, since the helmets would have to be open at the bottom (unless it makes a good seal around the neck or something.) Then again, how the hell would they equalize if they can't pinch their nose? It's possible to do it without pinching the nose but I hear that technique is very difficult... Regardless, you wouldn't be able to go very deep with these helmets...
There are universal hand signals that are taught to divers when they are certified. These guys probably had a short briefing before the dive where they were taught these and other important things
Lung over expansion is hardly what I'd call a risk because it's so easy to avoid. As long as you never hold your breath while ascending from a scuba dive, it will not happen to you, simple as that. The major risks with scuba diving that are harder to avoid are decompression sickness, nitrogen narcosis, reverse block, and ear barotrauma, but these can all be avoided as well if you know what you're doing.
Yes but these people are hardly trained. They don't know that and it is natural for persons to hold their breath. If the helmet is lost i could see many people's response to helmet loss to rise to surface holding their breathe...
As long as your not doing back flips and you can keep your balance, you'll be fine. the guilds mentioned that before we started. I felt completely safe. It was fun to do. This is a good way to "get your feet wet". Ocean walker.
hmm i think this is not that much fun as usual diving would be, cause u have to walk on these ways and dont feel the real weightless like u would with usual diving gear
Looks fun but if you try with Royal Caribbean be aware your won’t have proper thorough instructions. Ear popping is miserable upon descend. 2 minute instruction wasn’t enough
I do scuba diving and you can fall over easily so like I hat if they fell over and the water got in although I know there’s divers with them but like 😳
+VinnyTheMan -- You haven't fixed it yet. The text still reads "St, Maarten USVI." It should say just "St. Maarten" (or "Sint Maarten"). It's not in the US Virgin Islands nor the British Virgin Islands; it's in what was formerly called the Netherlands Antilles. Half the island (Sint Maarten) is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and half (Saint-Martin) is a collectivity of France.
Wow I can't believe people actually signed up for this garbage why not go scuba diving or even snorkeling and actually get to see and experience the fish also you see that path when they were putting that in it destroyed the reef and it's disturbing the ocean go scuba diving and snorkeling you will do much less harm to the environment and experienced more
I have no knowledge of this event besides this video as there is no website in the description. But this looks unsafe to me. I'm assuming not everyone there was scuba trained. First off there is no bailout bottle on them, if their main air goes out then what do they do? Swim to the top? How many of them will panic and hold their breath? Arterial Gas Embolism for sure. There is no communication either. How do they help people if they panic? Yeah there are scuba divers there but looking at them doesn't always help. This really seems unsafe and could get someone severely injured. But once again I'm going off this video and nothing more based on my Commercial Diving schooling and Naui Rescue Diver certification.
+Colin Milstead yeah you're right, guess I'm a little biased because I'm a very experienced swimmer/scuba diver. In all honesty that helmet diving looks super boring compared to scuba
+Alex Tase Yeah I can agree with you there. As a sport, surface supplied diving would be very boring as you're limited to where you go and you're limited based on the length of your umbilical as well
@@Wispysaur no its actually not cheaper and traing takes a couple hours me and my dad went to mexico and the day we git there we scheduled scuba for the next day and did training in like an hour
Thank you for the compliment. I modified a fishing net to fit a gopro mount. I removed the net and used the used the retractable pool. Thanks for your input. I'll pick something a lot less annoying next time.
hey its 4 years in the future. i just wanted to let you know dubstep is still cool even now, so pls dont listen to these people lol
waiting in a line UNDERWATER amazing
Good lord they just made being underwater seem boring...
+greg77389 just like u wrote this comment
Enjoyed your video! We tried Sea Trekking in Curacao. What a blast! Not as mobile as SCUBA Diving but still a lot of fun.

+stellvia hoenheim he doesn't know what "reply" means leave him alone
Somehow they always manage to add the most horrible, terrorising music to these videos.
agree the music is awful and distracts from the serenity
Yes this video was filmed with a hero3 silver. The red lense I used is designed to film between 15 and 30ft of depth. Do some research next time.
VinnyTheMan I am 13 and have actually been scuba diving not this shitty aquarium diving I've been around the world on cruises

Great video, thumbs up from us and cheers from sunny IGY Simpson Bay Marina, Sint Maarten in the Caribbean.
I am a certified scuba diver and i have been to this site many times and its always fun to watch the snuba people
no, think of it as a weight belt sitting on your shoulders. it's very comfortable when your in the water. almost weightless.
i didnt do the sea trek but i did the dolphin trek. they are pretty much the same thing. Xel-Ha is amazing isnt it
I WANNA TRY IT... Wait is there an age limit cuz im 14
nope you can do it but its in Tulum mexico and its really expensive
+Nicholas Lied do a try dive at your local PADI dive centre. It is with real scuba scuba gear and it's amazing. Cost very little too!
+iVlog thanks man :D
Kevin, that's awesome! You guys did a great job with the excursion.
Hi, Vince, We'd like to use an extract of this video as part of a new science series for Discovery Channel. Would this be OK? Thanks, Sam
+WHNClips2 Sure no problem
+WHNClips2 yes, you have my consent. my apologies for the delayed response
+VinnyTheMan Loool 2 years late
6:09 lol perfect music timing for the poop coming out of the fish
I did this in Punta Cana. Great experience but they charged us 40 dollars for the video and the quality was garbage. This is way better! btw if you have ever tried Snuba which would you recommend more? This or Snuba
can they hear each other, from one helmet to another?
Dude this music whats wrong?
awesome. What if you tried to swim with it? would it work?
my family had taken a snorkeling boat out to go see part of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia last June, and only after we got back to land did I see they had one of these tours available. Looks like a memory dive you won't be for getting soon ....great video
it looks like you have your own camera down there. Was this a ship excursion? All the ones listed on Carnival say no cameras. They force you to buy the pics from them.
I am unable to equilize my right austachian tube. Does one need to equilize wearing this helmet?
Whet if the oxygen ends. How can you take the helmet off?
This looks awesome. Would love to try this!
This looks so awesome. Great footage.
Nice. I've always figured the photos or videos of the adventure are available at an extra cost. Anyone can take a camera, or is this a promo? Where/how did you mount your GoPro?
the helmet weights 75 lbs.
I still woldn't feel 100% safe. I t would be better if it was attached to the body in some way. What would happen if someone fall off. Think about it :>
so that you wont float, it dangerous if u suddenly float upward
Dam that's nearly half my weight no wonder I felt like a fat man while walking with this helmet on haha
VinnyTheMan if you enjoyed this try getting into scuba diving.
Thank you very much for your input. Apparently no one could figure out that this video is NOT a comparison without your keen observation.
i did that in tulum mexico. the park is called XEL-HA and it is amazing
Hope ya know ya destroyed. The enviroment
I did this it’s a lot more fun than it looks I’ve used scuba gear in a large pool once and would say this is not really at all like it more like really deep snorkeling would definitely recommend if you don’t have a license

+greg77389 there is enough room for you to stick your hand into the helmet and pinch your nose
was there a way to signal if something went wrong? that's what I was thinking the entire time
There are universal hand signals that are taught to divers when they are certified. These guys probably had a short briefing before the dive where they were taught these and other important things
What the name of the camera you are using?
+William Mckinney go 9 pro 3+ edition
Can't wait till 2019 I'll be going there when I'm 16
ThePositveNerd well it IS 2019
Looks pretty fun, especially the walkway thing, that's kinda cool. I think I'd rather go on SCUBA though, this place looks really nice.
the only thing cool about this is not worries of lung over expansion... or at least reduced risk.
Lung over expansion is hardly what I'd call a risk because it's so easy to avoid. As long as you never hold your breath while ascending from a scuba dive, it will not happen to you, simple as that.

I'm sure they at least give them a safety briefing on what to do in an emergency...
Where can one buy Sea Trek Helmet ???
what if you trip and fall. then water will get in your helmet
2mins to get to the surface? Lol
+Hypocritical more like 10 seconds
The song is hype but definitely not right for the occasion xP
Still! It looks really cool to be able to walk under like that
I like the music, do you know what it's called?
+Turtle McSwaggins porter robinson, spitfire
This looks so awsome. I would love to try this🐋🐬🐟🐠🐡🦈😳
Wow, That's soo cool. Dope Vid!
What 's that noise on the background???
I will look it that today. Thank you for your input.
All the people in the video especially the camera man were acting like jacksepticeye when he played ABZÛ they're like "TOUCH DA FISHY"
how are you going down without a weight belt
the helmet, assneck
Funniest insult I've ever seen!
I live here! Plus, if you want to go here the place is called tiki hut
What happens if you fall over?
Hey Vinny good stuff man.
What if the line stops working

+TrendfeedYellow how about get outside more
+Andrew S I am outside
+Andrew S Also I'm 10
+TrendfeedYellow your 10 and your using that type of language! Where are your parents.
will the air pressure hurt the ear ?
Equalize.
Where can you buy that helmet?
Every certified commercial diver who’s looking at this is going NOPE HELL NO
So how much did this cost haha
1:37 frame perfect
Which place is this ??
do they need to decompressed?
No. They are shallow enough to where they won't need to decompress

wait was that a helicoptrer
is that a helicopter wreck?
what's the song at the beginning
It's all the same song...LOOK AT DESCRIPTION.
spitfire-porter robinson
what was the name of the first song?
yes, every 5 to 10 feet of decent.
Added to bucket list
i got left about 8 metres underwater with strong currents when i was 12 ish for a full 5 or more minutes xD scary yet pretty chill experience
The Star Trek helmets on my cruise
That look the exact same weren't 75ibs
They were barely 30ib
I'm pretty sure they're the same
Looks fun but if you try with Royal Caribbean be aware your won’t have proper thorough instructions. Ear popping is miserable upon descend. 2 minute instruction wasn’t enough
and hurt eyes?
St. Thomas
+John Kichiy you know what john. You can take your hate speech elsewhere
VinnyThevMan is it expensve?
it was 70$ a person when I went

Sure! You can use my video for your page. I didn't realize that it wasn't part of the USVI. Perhaps I should fix that.

Agreed, we had a great time. This video was not intended to be compared with scuba diving.
ok thanks
god,awesome,i wanna do that
Wouldn't those helmets be heavy
St Maarten is not in the USVI
that's pretty cool

Because it only takes 3 minutes to put on a helmet. You try talking people afraid of holding their breath how to deal with a regulator
i am one of the divers in your video,,
This has to be so much fun

I were just about to say that.. It's fucking confusing with all the random comments all over the place 😂😂
Before the direct reply, you are probably to young to even know when they added it
comments that bigots leave. "small and or close minded"
nice excuse for being to big of a pussy to scuba dive, im sure a discovery dive wouldnt have been any more expensive.
Not to mention he d the enviroment
normal scuba diving is way more fun
right but you need to be trained and this is cheaper
@@Wispysaur no its actually not cheaper and traing takes a couple hours me and my dad went to mexico and the day we git there we scheduled scuba for the next day and did training in like an hour
