Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair - Sega Mega Drive/Genesis Playthrough

Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair was a conversion of an arcade game of the same name. Developed by Escape, published by Sega, it was a platformy-shooty affair. Probably the poorest in the Wonder Boy series of games due to its lack of variety and general repetitiveness.
The game was also released for PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16 under the name Monster Lair. The Mega Drive/Genesis version is now available as part of the Sega Mega Drive Classics Collection/Sega Genesis Classics Collection for Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
This playthrough demonstrates the game from start to finish. In order to do this, a small number of save states were used to ensure it wasn't full of endless deaths and restarts. Even so, I still managed to lose all my lives and have to use a continue!
