As a Filipino I don't suggest going to the city(I live in the city). I suggest going to provinces it's more peaceful and have a ton of tourist attractions, 100% you'll enjoy it. Filipinos are just hyped and happy to see you here, I hope you try going to provincial towns I guarantee you'll enjoy it.
Depends on the province, I think he will enjoy going to Batanes or in Palawan like Coron and Puerto Princesa, and he can also visit the Pag-asa island in the middle of the West Philippines with only a few people to enjoy the place .
