Origami Photo Frame Box Tutorial - Paper Storage - Paper Kawaii

- Learn how to make a useful origami photo frame box! This wide rimmed origami box can also be used to display other origami artwork, as a tray or it's also a great origami paper storage box.

This thinner version should actually help to clarify exactly what is going on when collapsing the edges of the box, which some people had some trouble with in the other videos. This time I used bigger paper and tried to make it easier to see.
I have left the width of the frame up to you, so you can adjust the size of the frame if you want it to fit something... 2:05 is where the frame measurement happens..
This frame box just happened to fit the origami Tangram puzzle I previously posted: • Origami Tangram Puzzle...
You would need to use paper that is 2 times the size of the final Tangram (15 x 15 cm paper used for tangram results in 10.5 x 10.5 cm tangram, so you need 21 x 21 cm for the frame box). The measurement of the frame section needs to be 1 cm.
It also happens to be a great origami paper storage box, yes you'd probably have to glue the inner sections down to secure it, but still worth it in my opinion. To fit origami paper that is 15 x 15 cm, your paper for the frame box will need to be 30 x 30 cm and the frame measurement was 1.6 cm.

If you made an origami Tangram, video here: th-cam.com/video/8c8WBRsfy8U/w-d-xo.html you can make this frame from 21 x 21 cm to fit a Tangram made with 15 x 15 cm.
Or, follow the dimensions from this video and it will fit 2 Tangrams, there are many more ways to complete a square made with 2 sets 🙂

If using A4,cut in half and cut square,giving14.8cm square for tangram pieces.cut A4 into square for frame(21cm)

What paper do you usually use for origami

The glue is optional, depends on what paper you use and how well it’s folded. If there’s stuff inside the frame, you probably won’t need it :)

Hopefully if you keep trying and check out this other frame video th-cam.com/video/ZPHEpfe-7GY/w-d-xo.html it's not the same but is the same method of closing. Also try bigger paper. If your paper has been folded and unfolded so much you may need to start fresh :)
