Karen's quilts are fabulous. Black history really needs to be taught in schools. It's part of America's history! The honey bees quilt is adorable. Bisa's quilts are very unique and so wonderful. It's so amazing how she uses fabrics in her collage quilts. Rosie's quilts are beautiful, too. She had such an eye for putting together quilts to tell a story.
Great tribute ladies. It's so interesting to learn about other cultures. You always wear such pretty tops, but today's were exceptionally, pretty. Thanks for all the patterns and work you and your team do.
I always love your videos, but this one knocks it out of the park. Your fabric choices are glorious! I’m from Australia so do not know much about Black History in the US. I will be looking into these artists further. Great job and well done again with fantastic colours and fabric combos!
Love this video. Thank you for introducing me to new artists and for celebrating the contribution that black women have made to America's quilting tradition.
Thanks for highlighting some Black American quilters. Other famous Black quilters are Faith Ringold (author too), and of course the Quilters of Gees Bend.
Hello. What a lovely quilt video. I love it very much. In my country Finland we quilt also. Maybe their themes are different from your country. Thank you. Have good day. Matti
Enjoyed the history and the beautiful quilts! My grandma is my influencer. Used scraps from the clothes she made for my sister and I. Would love her opinion on the quilts made now a days.
Do you have any patterns to use with fat quarters I have six fat quarters I believe and I’m gonna buy two white background fabric and I was so that gives me eight I need to make a baby quilt. What do you suggest? Thank you very much and I love your videos, Pam
They released 2 different fat quarter pattern books but they use 12 fat quarters for a lap quilt. You could probably adapt it for 6 fat quarters and 1 1/2-2 yards of background fabric. Hope that helps!
Thanks for honoring Black History Month. Great tribute to Black contributions to the art of quilting.
Karen is an artist and inspiration! Beautiful!

Black history IS taught in schools. ❤️
It’s so sad that they don’t teach much history anymore. They are removing all things from the past.

Well done ladies, everyone’s history needs to be taught in school.
Love this show. Maybe try grunge for the green & blue in the dazzle pattern.
Beautiful ! You should have MAC show her quilts. You could interview her and show pictures of her 3yard quits using her magic..
Great idea!

Great tribute, but you should have use the last fabric for Bisa's quilt. I'll be looking her up. Really special.
I am inspired by the ladies of Gee’s Bend.
They are awesome, aren't they!
Donna, YOU inspire me!!! ❤❤❤
I'm using the Picture Perfect pattern right now!!
