Paladin your right it doesn’t beat a v8 at all and never will but I’m just saying some people get v6s because of their situations and that they shouldn’t get hated on for having it unless they think they are the fastest car on the road or something
Sounds great! I've a 2019 Charger GT and have been watching / listening to every combination of mix/match, delete/add to the exhaust. I've found the perfect solution, and of course, just like on my Ford Explorer, it's a Borla
i have the rallye edition and the exhaust comes with a configuration that if you straight pipe it it's going to be an x-pipe which is loud. am getting cherry bombs or flow master with a cold air intake with large exhaust tips to add a rattle, but the loudest you can get from a charger is an X-pipe. my friend has straight SXT and i met a guy at cars and coffee with an H-pipe, they both admitted that my car was louder.
Sounds fucking amazing and not hondaish one bit. I love it, ive been debating between this and ripps performance catback for months now and im still having a tough time deciding but this was a great video. Thanks for making it man
Honestly bro, this is just my opinion but I would go with RIPP's cat-back exhaust with the high performance coil packs and save up the money for their supercharger. That would be bad ass!
@@iguardwisconsinberry8830 RIPP sounds good as well, and if you're going for a supercharger and want to fully deck out your car in RIPP parts then definitely do the catback, coil packs, and supercharger. I'd like to do the supercharger eventually, but that near 7k price tag (after installation and all that jazz) is reallllly painful to think about.
Hey I know I’m late to the party and all but I just got me a charger and I’m loving this sound, did you get anything deleted? As far as like the mid resonators or anything like that?
Edit: here’s the video! th-cam.com/video/bDI0A61p2A8/w-d-xo.html So I’ve had this for about a month so far and have definitely broken it in. I’ve added a cold air intake and it’s got a deeper sound now. I’ll work on getting a video out showing how it sounds now.
Hey what’s up I recently did the mufflers on my 21 Charger SXT. Borla part#40358 and didn’t convince me way too much drone inside the cabin. I just noticed you have the part# for the one you have thank you for that definitely putting those on. Also how did you run it. The set up I have is single pipe for each catalyst running through Borla on each. Do you have an X running with yours ? Help thanks.
Hey bro, does this setup get deeper over time? Thanks..... honestly all I’m looking for is a nice deep mild tone for my 15 charger. Was leaning with this or the flowmaster american thunder catback
Michael Wright, Jr yeah a bit deeper - if you check out my new video (link is up in the description) you can see some new footage. It’s not gonna be a deep V8 tone ever, but it’s pretty good for a V6 in my opinion. The American Thunder is another good catback, there are some good vids on TH-cam of it as well.
When I put the system on, it sounded just like stock, hoping it gets deeper. Thinking it sounds like shit cause it’s just put on but yea so far I wasted $1300
@@almighty_pa_in7396 The Borla? It definitely does not sound just like stock. It makes things louder, definitely, and it's not as ricey as a res/muffler delete. It's not going to make it sound like a V8, but it's good nonetheless.
I have a 2014 Charger SE. I swapped the stock mufflers for Borla mufflers, sounds a bit better. But now I'm thinking I ge the S-Type. Is the S-Type like a straight pipe or is it not that obnoxious?
@@danny78690 There is some light drone, but not enough to cause ear aches. Nothing unbearable really. I haven't really tried long highway driving yet with it, so I can't comment on that.
Did you just replace the mid mufflers and keep the rear resonators on? If so that's probably why. If you want a louder tone, you should either take out or replace the rear resonators. Just keep in mind, with the 3.6L V6, it might sound a bit tinny if you take the rear resonators off completely.
So it wasn't bad at all. I wasn't able to get some footage, but constant driving from 65-80 produced very little drone that I could hear. Highway noise + radio made the drone nearly silent. 80+ was where it got worse. 85+ was a pretty noticeable drone, but really not terrible. All in all on a scale of terrible to no drone at all (1-10) I'd rate it a 9 for highway driving.
Should of checked out ths pypes cat back exhaust, just as good as borla if not better. I think borla and pypes are by far the best choices and pypes are about half the price!
Nahhhhh. I SLAPPED AN MRT VERSION ONE CAT BACK EXHAUST PAIRED WITH A FLOWMASTER ORIGINAL 40 MUFFLER THAT SOUNDS 5 TIMES BETTER! WITH THE CRACKLING SOUND AND DEEP RESONANCE. 😆
Sounds good. Nothing wrong with a V6 pushing 300 hp. Not that long ago V8 Mustangs weren’t even 300hp.
JPL 80 they still can’t make any torque
I have V6 as well and it just sound weak. I sold my V8 Hemi damn that was something else.
Yea idk why people hate on v6s they are fun also

I’m trying to decide between Borla or Big Boz
