Thanks I heard two different stories why Chopin didnt want to release this piece there was another composor that released a piece similar to Chopin's piece and didnt want anyone thinking Chopin stole another composers piece. Chopin's sister allowed the piece to be released to the public. This piece has a special but personal meaning to me which i cannot say. I listened to the pop tune but it don't go well with me but it is what it is. There are many pop tunes taken from classical music. I know of three from Chopin. Two are preludes. 73

@@magdalenaNYC like I said before this piece has something special it may take some time to be able to play it because my technique is bad but I can relearn what I missed in college. 73

I came here from your La fille aux cheveux du lin, which was the best. I will never be able to play this, but the slower section is within my capabilities. Your touch and expression is beautiful, thanks again for the inspiration and putting this out there❤️🎶

Beautiful performance by a creature of infinite grace: it is not known who is more a work of art, the music or the pianist who performs it. Stefano Coculo
Bellissima esecuzione da parte di una creatura d'infinita leggiadria: non si sa chi è più opera d'arte, se la musica o la pianista che la esegue. Stefano Coculo

Thank you very much. Although D-flat and c-sharp are the same key on the piano, they are spelled differently (the idea of enharmonic equivalent). The difference in notation gives each of the two keys a slightly different inflection, color, and expression. I hope this helps.

The piece in the Baroness' Album has some differences from the earlier draft published by Fontana. Personally, I think the earlier draft is the superior version. We can thank Chopin's sister and Fontana that we have this.

Your Bach@home series are extremely informative and enjoyable. Would you be able to do a series on Schubert’s impromptus? Perhaps the 4 impromptus Op. 90, D-899? Thank you.
