I kinda feel her. When youre female in your 30++ age with no relationship and marriage, you tend to be like harsh to yourself and almost settle for less. Its suffocates us and at the end of the day, we heal ourselves with self love while deep down, we just want someone just to love us sincerly. And thats the most hard to find nowadays. She was wrong for standing up her friends and putting her want for love over them, but he was way more wrong for not just expressing those feelings to her and just catfishing her for 4 months, promising a future with her. He manipulated her and probably destroyed what little trust she has, and he’s a horrible friend for that. She needs to work on herself for sure, but she should do that with him out of her life forever.

When she said she'd told her friends she'd "met" Jamie, she really had, only it was the utter scumbag "best friend" George.
How could anyone do something like this to such a caring, beautiful, but deep down damaged woman like Leanne.
She just wants to find someone to give her the love and family she deserves after her broken childhood and constant bad relationships.
She should get herself some counselling, a new best friend, and spend some time alone, and find the love she has for her patients inside herself, for herself, and then find she doesn't need "Mr Right" but someone who is real, who will love and respect her, and be worthy of her, as much as she will be worthy of him.
George was NEVER a friend, and certainly never a best friend, just a nasty, shallow piece of s*** who has now been exposed for all the world to see as the one person no-one should ever allow near them, let alone trust him, again.
The big problem with online relationships is that anyone can be anyone they want to appear as today, stealing other people's images and making vulnerable people like Leanne fall for their lies (I have one friend who had a catfish send him pictures of Beyonce, claiming to live in the next street to him, but unable to meet him due to constant crises that happened every time he tried to meet her face to face. Turned out to be a lonely, nasty old man, who'd been catfishing over a dozen people at the time, asking for money/gifts, and using Beyonce's photo's to draw his victims in.).
Today, people have "relationships" online, more online "friends" than real friends, and miss out on the real people who could fill their lives with love, trust, friendship and more, because they prefer the fantasy dream men/women they find online to the real people around them.
Society today has become shallow, immersed in virtual reality/social media, and is paying the price for it, as poor Leanne does here, and those on the other catfish episodes.

The way he went about it was so wrong, but her saying it's normal to drop friends for a relationship was wrong too. I can see why he was frustrated, but he was definitely wrong. Her need for a family because of growing up in a broken home overshadowed her critical thinking. Having a child with someone will NOT make them stay. I hope they both learned from this.
