Can I just say I absolutely love your work? I have absolutely 0% interest in the PvP aspect of these games, but you make them so enjoyable to watch. And every once in a while I actually learn something new that I can use in my campaigns as well! Keep it up :D

Precisely. I have no interest in keeping up with the meta, but solo and co-op campaigns and battles are more than enough to hold my attention.

Gameplay wise Bella is probably one of the strongest wingmans with her pegasus, debuffs and chalice.

thanks for the kinds words mate much appreciated! Honestly I totally get it, some people just want to get right into the battle and the action, and dont need all the fluff or spectacle. But I do think its a fun way to set the stage and show off all the cool models and maps, so I like to put it in. Lots more cool content on the way!

p.s That weaves into my previous point that If Vlad and Izzy are going to be together, one of them should have other lore of magic, its a waste to have 2 lores of Vampires.

Apart from Raise the Dead, I can see some use in having twice as many summons.
Wasn't invocation of nehek nerfed to only be single target, even when overcast? Some use having another lore of vampires caster.
Still, having shadow magic would have helped a lot more in this match. A pit of shades on the elite infantry would have gone a long way.
@@zedek_ No that is incorrect information. It maybe requires "snapping" on a target now content creators are unclear but absolutely works on 4 targets you can check vods.
@@toggle3927 you should still be able to Alt click ground. but yeah, can hit up to 4 units in an AOE with overcast, same as wh2

@@DarkPretender205 He hates doing it because he knows it's really bad for his health to constantly rely on the strength of a daemon that has ties to Slaanesh, but he always ends up doing it anyway when he is in a real bad situation.
No worries though, he definitely can stop whenever he wants.
The pit of shades cast animation is one of the coolest in TWWH just that "shwp-pop" of opening a rent in reality into the hungry void
Seeing all the sub-faction colour variations just makes me more certain that we *need* an army painter in-game. It doesn't need to be some in-depth thing; just let me set the primary and secondary colour between say, 10 options and set it for both individual units and armies. I'd be really surprised if CA doesn't already have the meat and potatoes of such a mechanic already for how they recolour sub-factions in the game, and this is a Warhammer game ffs, just let us customise our colour schemes!
Why isn't faction color themes enough for you? Is this really that important atm? I think there are other priorities.
@@ddenozor no, because I can't personalise what colour my armies and units use in campaign with "faction colour themes". And is it really that important? Really? Is it important to be able to choose your colour scheme in a *Warhammer* game?
@@kapitankapital6580 Make not mistake. This is a TOTAL WAR game first,and Warhammer second. I honestly wouldn't care what color your troops would carry if we met in pvp. And I for sure wouldn't want time and resources spent on a pointless feature that would allow entitled people like you play paintms inside the game when the game still needs fixes and improvements.

The fact that you're trying to argue against introducing a feature that is a core part of the IP because you personally don't care about it is kinda pathetic honestly. By that same token CA shouldn't bother creating a multiplayer for Total War games since most people don't use that feature. They should spend their time working on more important mechanics, like an army painter XD

Fell bats being bad for dragons actually kinda makes sense in a way. Ever seen what happens when an eagle finds a bunch of small birds? The small birds pick on it to drive it away. Sure, the eagle could kill them in one hit, but they're too small and fast to be hit easily.

The Vamp player really should have brought a couple grave guard great weapons to counter elite Dark Elf infantry. Also letting the sorceress live really cost them the game, Vlad was tanking like a champ, if the blood knights were still intact in the end, it could have been a different story. But man, pit of shades seems OP, there is hardly any time to dodge it and it just deletes elite units.
GG GW are bad pick vs dark elves. Predictable, no shield, fragile, expensive. Investing too heavily into infantry core for vamps is stupid most of the time. A skabscratch wight king is good vs expensive unarmored DE infantry. Black guard of naggarond are better avoided or tarpitted with zombie summons.
Pit of Shades really seems OP as hell. Quite a sting when you consider how they nerfed Wind of Death into oblivion.
Very confusing that Isabella sat doing nothing while the sorceress was entirely unguarded on 1% health. It would have taken 10 seconds to finish her off and prevent those final pits of shade

Niccceee Slaanesh really strong in the drucchi aspect. Maybe Morathi and Malus get like... some cool thing to do with the fact that they are the most slaaneshi non slaanesh lords in the game
Malus being possessed by a Daemon that he resists is the only Slaanesh thing about him and he is anit-chaos just the the rest of the Dark elves
Morathi is getting Slaanesh corruption and daemonettes into her roster, read the faction updates notes from the devs
IIRC Morathi will be able to get Daemonettes in the campaign.

Pit of shades probably needs a longer wind up time. Maybe a 5 sec telegraph before the spell actually activates to give the opposing player a chance to counter play. Especially given how powerful the spell is.
Or Heir could have just focused on removing the threat, leaving her alive was a tactical error.
@@andygreen7314 you dont always have the option to goon the mage. Pit of Shades really just needs a small nerf and casting time is a good start

@@andygreen7314 yes in THIS match that was certainly an option. but you can't justify a spell like Pit of Shades being balanced because you could just goon the mage and remove it.
the original comment was talking about the spell in general. this match is just one of many cases that show that PoS is a little broken atm
@@zacharyjackson1829 except don't the Vampires also have access to pit if shades? So in that case there would have been equal balance to remove the Dark Elves units, and there were innumerable ways to counter the presence of the caster/spell. I don't get way everything always has to be "nerfed" especially when there are viable counters which encourages more tactical gameplay.
Honestly if the vamp player had chased down the dark elves magic caster they might have won that battle great replay.
I saw the rose icon in the thumbnail and I thought it was going to be some overdue Ghorst love.
Reckon Isabella probably should've been FAR more aggressive in hunting down the dark elf caster... those Pit of Shades were just straight-up _nasty!_

A wild dragon with no healing - what recklessness, what bravery!
This kinda felt like watching a match where pit of shades basically won the match with very little options for counter play.
the blood knights could have pretty easily avoided the pit of shades, just didnt move in time. other than that, it killed a unit and a half of Grave Guard, and some hp on skeletons, which is hardly a disaster.
Isabella supported by Knights could of taken her out, but they never fully committed
VC could have hunted the caster
I absolutely adore these elite, albeit small, army compositions as displayed by the Dark Elves during that match

Wow these environment colors are amazing.
6:50 I don’t think that’s quite right. Malus and most other lords have a cap on the number of entities they can damage, so he’ll just be wasting damage against the extra bodies he can’t hurt. And those abilities being on cooldown, all while wasting Malus’ heal cap, makes for less than ideal situations if it’s time to snipe an SE or start crunching through cav.

Poor vamps sure feel like if you don't just focus healing they suffer a lot. Also can elite units get some pittance of magic resist? A single spell shouldn't wipe an entire unit, or shouldn't be able to be used several times per game...
magic/spell resist is unfortunately just not very good. Peak Gate Guard have a bunch and still essentially become useless after a good overcast Pit of Shades. it needs to be really high values to make a noticeable difference

Dude the graphics of this game are actually kind of difficult to look at. Everything is kind of murky and hard to make out except for the blinding glints coming off anything even a little bit metallic
Some of the new bloom effects should be reduced, yeah.
I've seen a couple of videos now where when Malus transforms into Tzarkan, the thumbnail pic above him appears to show Katarina. Bit of a bug there.

Less than a month to go. Big hyped. This update has done a ton to get me excited again for this series. The vamp changes are fantastic from what it seems so far, and the refresh button on TW3 is sorely needed, from the WoC campaigns to IE. is it 8/23 yet?

One thing that they still need to change though is that some Vamp units dont have crumble like Isabella here or the Dragon Knights

Healing and mortis engines being key to a faction with low leadership/crumbling and relatively low attack stength for similar infantry units in their price range. Not exactly shocked lol

So we've heard lots about all the buffs that the VC got and they look pretty badass. My Tomb Kings get any of the same ones? At the least Tomb Guard should certainly get the same buffs that Grave Guard did.
