But sadly that’s teaching them it’s ok to chew on those things, with them being fosters he has to keep those things in mind- most people don’t want to come home to all their shoes eaten lol 😂

Also it isn't safe for them. They will eat patches of clothes and shoes and can suffocate
you should cover the enclosure with a tarp in case of rain, plus it will also help keep it warm in there!

@@SagebrushRambles they will need to come out of the house to use the bathroom, no dog likes to go while it’s raining. The tarp will make a dry bathroom area.

Lol he gets annoyed from squeaky toys noise want to have a whole chicken yard? Lmao I can’t see him having more than what he has at home (and that doesn’t include may & the puppies).
At most I could see him with two chickens - mainly due to the noise. But fresh laid eggs and store bought- no comparison, fresh are better and tend to have more nutrients in them

Chickens are really good at keeping down ticks. I thought my roommate was joking with me when he suggested instead of putting poison in the yard we get chickens when we unfortunately got infested with ticks a couple years ago. I was shocked after a couple of days those chickens turned into tick assassins. It makes me wonder if some of the smaller dinosaurs hunted the way those chickens did

Girl- I stop watching Joey’s vids for a few weeks and I come back and the puppies are huge!!!
A good thing to get into the habit of is to yelp and pull your fingers away from them when they bite. The thing is if you feel teeth, you yipe and ignore. Play with them with the toys and they can bite those all they want. :) future owners will thank you .
The mom should be teaching them bite inhibition in this time but he has them separated unfortunately
If y'all were closer I would most definitely want to get one of the puppies..!! I'm Soooooo in LOVE with them all..!! 💜
I love how when Joey tries to hold the puppies they resist then after a little they just give up and lay there 😂

I 100% percent agree kinda makes me angry and upset that he is doing that he should know better with all the experiences he has had!
Yeah and they shouldn't be separated from their mom either. I feel so sorry for May, this foster is not an ideal place for her...
It doesn’t get cold at night, as he has said. The inside situation was not working at all and was costing him loads most likely. The mom is nearby and still with them and im sure they hangout sometimes, but the pups would also harrass her a lot. I understand what you mean as I don’t think they are vaccinated. But overall joey is an awesome foster I believe. He is trying his best to make it better for them and himself too.

for anyone wondering, here is joey's animal list:
- Wolf (male husky, rescued from craigslist (?) as puppy)
- Storm (male husky, white, adopted from a rescue as puppy, lives w Daniel)
- Lark (female husky/german shepherd mix, adopted from a rescue as puppy (?), lives w Daniel)
- Lark had babies! (accident at doggy daycare) seven of them (Red, Teal, Lavender, Pink, Yellow, Green, Blue)
- Moon (male husky, kept one of lark's babies-Teal)
- Shadow (male husky, J&D tried to keep Lark's baby Red, but he ended up having aggressive tendencies due to littermate syndrome so he had to find a new home like the others)
- Sakura (black female pregnant rescue cat) (kept her)
- Sakura's kittens, the zodiac litter (Gemini, Taurus, Aquarius, Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)
- Azula (female foster cat, was pregnant but lost the litter)
- Hen (foster mama from junkyard)
- 6 junkyard pups (Duck, Goose, Shark, Otter, Bear, Moose)
- foster mama dog Roo
- Roo's litter (Hare, Tiger, Bison, Panda, Raccoon, Monkey)
- Daenerys (white foster mama kitty)
- D's kitties, the Greek Goddess litter (Athena, Persephone, Aphrodite, Nemesis, Rhea)
- took care (for a couple of days) of a mama duck and her 9 babies that wandered into his backyard and got stuck
- May (husky foster mama husky)
- May's babies, the Months litter (January-light pink boy, February-bright red boy, March-lime green boy, April-hot pink girl, June-blue girl, July-purple girl, August-lilac girl, September-yellow girl, October-orange boy, November-black girl, December-aqua boy)
*the babies are usually adopted by other people (other than Moon) and then renamed!

Great on getting a protective enclosure for the puppies! I don't think anyone was surprise that Karen didn't share. I totally expected that. She didn't disappoint. My polar twins are doing great even though I was surprise that Jan picked a toy that was almost as big as him. Like you said they are looking so fluffy these days. Adorable March always so pleasant. Mama May looking on to make sure everything is okay. Much accomplished today, the new enclosure and the toys bought for the pups. Everything is coming together.

Joey, just a suggestion....why not connect the two cages together..... gives the puppies more room to run/play and maybe less work for you as well :-)
He doesn’t want predators coming in from the open top of the bigger enclosure at night
they are connected during the day, but at night he can't do that because then a predator could get in or a puppy could get out
@@Redmerlegirl I know it’s enclosed but do you guys think it’s safe for them to be outside all night by themselves? I’d want to be able to monitor them myself.
He should be able to connect the bigger enclosure to the end of the new enclosure where the door is, and then just close the door to the newer enclosure at night with them all in it.
@@edena8368 personally I’m with you, I would worry about them getting caught in the wiring/chewing it and I’d also worry about them digging under or a predator digging under or even a surprise rain storm during the night

Huskies are very happy in cold weather. Im sure they are happier outside than inside that tiny enclosure in the house. They will be able to get out of their indoor playpen soon and then there’s 12 mischievous huskies in one room. I’m sure Joey is nervous but momma May already trashed his house and 11 more of her puppies won’t do it any favors

Ok so you absolutely HAVE to keep March!! I didn’t offer an opinion yesterday because I wasn’t 100% sure who was destined to be yours but today it’s most definitely clear he loves you SOOOO much!!! Plus, I think he’d be SO good as a protector for your new 🐥 if you head that route cuz he’s so gentle!
I so wanted you to get the chicken coop and have a bunch of puppies sitting in the egg laying spots😂🤣😂
Getting them into the enclosed area will be a lot easier, if you start feeding them in there. At night, put a little food in the bowl and they will all run to it. After some time, they will get used to going into the enclosed area for night time because they will expect to be fed.
I can't wait to hear all the complaints from your neighbors about the puppy noise 24/7 now!

Having had, at one point, 30 pet chickens (we started with 2, how we got to 30 is anyone's guess), I gotta say... Oh, you'd be surprised XD. After that, at different times in my childhood, I had budgies, turtles and cats. I have to say, the chicken did the weirdest, but also most entertaining shit.
They will mess up the lawn though. The grass in our garden still hasn't recovered from the trauma it sustained and it's been...almost 20 years? Let's say 15, to make myself feel better XD.

@Joey put a tarp that extends a foot on two beyond the area with the dog house to create shade and a rain cover so that they can sill go out without getting soaked if it rains. Attach it using zip ties on top and sides and behind the doghouse to provide protection and even shade. Later on if they need more space to run around you could connect the two pens by attaching the panels to the new pen on either side of the door so that you control when they go into the larger open area plus it will be easier for you to pick them up and remove them from the pen when needed without crawling inside the new pen. It will also be easier to feed them and fill their water bowl up in the open enclosure.

So some advice about chickens: get a few because there’s a strong chance some will die early, they’re kinda like goldfish in how delicate they are. 2) depending on the breed, your hens won’t lay eggs without a rooster in the coop
