It's a werewolf writing to his son before a dangerous battle, with the serious risk of being killed by his enemies. The Slipknot members back in 1996 played "Rage", a card game derived by "Werewolf: The Apocalypse", a famous pen and paper role-playing game published by White Wolf (same publishers of "Vampire: The Masquerade"). Werewolfs in the "World of Darkness" (the common setting of their games) are powerful enemies of the vampires (the Black Hand is a sect of vampires) and they fight for nature and ecology against megacorporations like Pentex. All MFKR is inspired by "Rage" and as a player of various White Wolf RPGs I've always thought it's awesome.
In my opinion Corey is the better singer overall, cause he has the vocal range, as well as some very good screams but Anders was mainly growls, but Corey was more screams and like better in my view, but there’s something about this song that makes me feel like Corey would take it a different way and make it different if you get me
I always thought Corey was better than Anders imo, and tbh I still do, however in this song Anders does some very good singing but it doesn’t feel like a slipknot song
another Trigger-Song. ok. letz see if mick and chris can do it... again abd again and again angain and again! :D btw YES! NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDS to be played LIVE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ouhm,.... very first time ever LIVE? It's SLIPKNOT DUDES!=!=!=!PEOPLE=S#!t....
such an atmospheric song, paul's bassline is one of his best ever, what an amazing player he was.
Dude I`m listening to this song almost every day, what a masterpiece
It's from their very first album, I wish they could make another song with the old crew members.
@@ginichimaru9013 sounds like a lot of BASS in this song
2:30 that was so on point
The beginning of this song makes me feel sad :(
Same here
Me too, is weird
How about now? :(
@@walrus-splice-renewable is more sad now :c
It's more sad bc of Joey
Nice, Confessions is my favorite song off of MFKR and might be my favorite by Slipknot.
Same here, it is my favorite slipknot song, it just has something special, musically brilliant.
It's such a great song, I'd love to see it redone with Corey Taylor and if possible both Corey and Anders.
I can"t believe this song is by Slipknot, it's hard to believe...
Never understood the subject matter and I still don't and it doesn't matter. This is killer.

Odd hearing Slipknot get this funky. I like it!
Red Hot Chilli Slipknot
That's the vibe I'm getting XD
with the police and incubus^^
Slipknot Chilli Peppers
Red Knot Chilli Peppers
Pretty sure two of the bands they were influenced by were Mr. Bungle and Faith No More which had a lot of beef with RHCP back then.
Best Slipknot song ever. Hands fucking down
one of my fave knot songs. rip paul. PS. the video is amazingly edited, i listen to this at least once a day
Very Mr. Bungle/Faith No More-esque.
Well, they WERE some of the bands that influenced Slipknot after all.
Melhor funk que existe
This intro's bassline is to stay in my mind forever
Thanks Joey!
amazing album front to back 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘♥️♥️♥️♥️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
fucking awesome edits, great job!
Cabe recordar que la voz era de Anders, pero bueno cualquiera que esté informado acerca del MFKR sabe que era el.... Excelente tema.
funk y metal extraño y chido bro
Los antiguos y originales miembros de slipknot
I love this,what a great find
the intro reminds me a mix between the polce, incubus and the red hot chili peppers
Am I crazy for thinking Anders voice on this particular song, is better than Corey could have sung it?
I agree with you 😀. He has a vibe here like a leader/shaman of a tribe
It's actually Josh Brainard that does most of the singing here believe it or not, he was a great singer
@@fhsjames really?

Fun fact: Paul Gray at the time of making this song, was the Only One who liked it
Eu entendi a referência de edição, mostrando um por um, seguindo o seu número :)
Essa música é muito foda 🤘🤘🤘
Cool vid
Paul is the only one who liked this :(
damn og slipknot and it's posted by a page named after a goated bleach character. massive W
Groovy as FUCK
Lol I was expecting to hear some extreme hardcore music o_O
This is literally their best song. They should have started a funk group.
Slipknot’s version of Nothing Else Matters
Sounds more like early Incubus that modern Slipknot.

What do you listen to? Just curious.
I listen to everything including metal, slipknot is actually one of my favorite bands. This just isn’t it though.
@@scarletloki6315 and why is this terrible?

Sounds like carnival music if the carnival was in a low budget horror movie about clowns
