The thing about that is, they were on Earth at the end, so using Alternia's theme would be kinda... unfitting. I think Overture fit way better with the ending, seeing as it has parts from some of the most prominent songs in Homestuck that are about the Beta Kids, which makes sense, since they hail from the Earth.
Whenever a planet is destroyed in sci-fi, it does upset me quite a bit. It's not only that everyone on it was killed, all the species on it are extinct now, and even world wonders are gone. The grand canyon, mt. Everest, the Eiffel tower, all that would be gone. That's just physical stuff. Our culture would be erased, too. All sorts of books and artwork would be lost forever. Pretty much everything special about our planet would be gone if it were destroyed. That's why I feel each time a world is destroyed, its like a person died. Everything about that person, their memories, their hobbies, their hopes and dreams, their interests and favorites, their skills: all that makes them a complex and unique person is lost. If a planet was destroyed, everything that made that world complex is lost, too.
In my opinion someone should make a music box with this and have all the Dead trolls & humans all moving around, or just them as God Tier or something....

So trying to find a way to pass time without it will be hard. Eh, guess we can stick to the popular stuff and take a break from a fandom for once.which is oddly hard to do.

I especially love this song. As fucked up as the post-scratch Alternia can be, as all the horrible things happen to millions of innocent lives for no reason at all, this song sounds like a peaceful respite in that world. All trolls on that planet, whether you're a candy blooded mutant like Karkat or a frolicking spoiled royalty like Feferi, have the capability of finding their own peace and their own place in the world. Even though it's a horrible world to live in, trolls on alternia can still form meaningful connections and make the most of their situation. As inhumane as their society is, they are still human in the same ways that we are.
