I like the fact that this game start with an highway zone, the background has always making me think of Sonic X with the buildings + Sonic running through the highway in the first episode
@@ivonnesaysmiau It's not overrated, the zone is literally perfect and that's why everyone likes it. Sega however just reuses its likeness in other games just to pander to the fans' nostalgia and it never works other than in an anniversary title like Generations.
This theme is by Kenichi Tokoi. Not only does it carry the same vibes as his tracks in Sonic Battle, but SEGA themselves also confirmed multiple times that this is his composition. This track holds tons of childhood memories! It is so extraordinary.
I don't understand why people hate the level design in this game? I think it's one of the best sense you could get lost and lose your speed. You actually had to learn the levels instead of just holding right until you finish, so going fast actually required mastery of the game. Not to mention the game having actual platforming sense this is a platformer which people seem to forget.

@@rescuerex7031 so from what you are telling me, people basically hate the game because they themselves aren't good at Sonic? Because I don't see how the spikes and enemies were in bs places? They are obstacles you are supposed to avoid. It has been the same in all 2d Sonic games and this one did it better because you actually had to pay attention and be on your toes. People only got hit because they were caught sleeping because other Sonic games require little attention to not get hit. Running at full speed in a 2d game requires the player to have a very fast reaction speed and good prediction of the level. On top of that it shouldn't even matter because the ring system basically makes Sonic invincible. And if anyone is running at full speed with 0 rings, then it is kinda their fault if they die. They should prioritize obtaining rings at that point. They can't blame the game for their own negligence. It upsets me when people get upset and hate a game because of their own shortcomings instead of learning the game and getting better. People always want the easy way out instead of a good challenge. 😑
This game was part of my childhood. I wasn't all that good at it, but I still loved to play it anyway. And the music was top notch, especially this track.

Sonic's colors are even red, white, and blue. He loves freedom and adventure. A classic piece of Anericana suits Sonic very well.

Definitely SA3 is pretty bs when it comes to level design, but I think it was supposed to be a Japanese Mario 2 deal where once you master the advance series, 3 is the ultimate challenge, but Sonic also has never done that, I guess Sonic 2 GG is pretty bs but yeah
yea, played this game as a kid and did a playthrough recently on an emulator and was surprised at how bad it was lol i do remember struggling a lot with the game when i was younger though, managed to beat the game but never did get all the chaos emeralds

I actually like this game more because it wasn't straight forward. I actually have to learn where to go instead of holding right until I finish. I also think the game play is way better considering it's the same but with more abilities, character combinations, attacks, and the only Sonic game in history with a fully playable 2 player story mode.
I understand now Sonic Advance 2, was not just a copy(well it was) and I think it should get more respected and not just having the same level designs. (BTW this is just my opinion and not to hurt anyone in any way

Yeah! Out of the 3 games this is probably the one with the most original themed levels, look at Ocean Base, Chaos Angel, Route 99 and Cyber Track!
