Been thinking a lot about buying a small Reactor for my 13.5 nano, I run Seachem matrix in one of the chambers (it's an all 8n one tank) but I don't think they are keeping up with my tank load even when seeded.
Detroit Nano Reef I tried to use matrix in my system but it would not keep up. It's actually still in my sump. I can tell you only biopellets and water changes keep my tank at 0 nitrates I also use Gfo to keep phosphates down.
👍 nice walk through.
Great tips
ReeferGil Thanks Gil!

Do you have the bio pellets exiting into the skimmer or OK to go in the water column?
Steve C Steve the water leaving the reactor goes directly to the skimmer intake. It's recommended to do this because the biofilm can promote cyano .
Well I learnt something tonight
Detroit Nano Reef Thank you!
A bonus with running pellets is how theraputic it is to watch them tumble :D
Daniel Salt that is very true!
