That's what made the Horsemen so good. Flair and AA both great on the mic, and great wrestlers. IMO and many others Flair is the greatest wrestler and the greatest on the mic. Flair greatest single wrestler and AA greatest tag wrestler. That's why the Horsemen were the greatest Group followed closely by the Freebirds who still deserve to be in the Hall of Fame!

  • @darthba11er

In this segment, Four Horseman ran out of time for everyone to speak. That's why Arn said in the beginning that time was expensive and he was going to spend some of it. They brought Ric back later in the program and Dave Crockett even said that he didn't get a chance to speak. But I also posted that as well. Just look up Ric Flair spot.

Yeah, this type of interview style promo is now considered old fashioned.
But I guess it takes a special type of person to deliver quite like this so they stopped doing this in favor of you walking out into the ring, talk trash, bait the opponent to walk out too, and get the crowd involved somehow.
I posted this so some of us old schoolers and maybe some younger fans can appreciate someone with real mic skills.

Arn Anderson (ne Marty Lunde, b. 9-20-58) took the identity of The Enforcer, but calling him The Methodical Disciplinarian or Punisher feels closer to the mark.
This beefcake pit bull could absorb punishment but thrived on administering it with arrogance to spare. He was, and probably still is, a hunk of beef with a cement chest. His line of work? Cleaning clocks.
Marty worked hard at mauling and manhandling but made it look simple when he flicked sweat at hapless opponents suffering beside or beneath his boots.
Built like a proverbial brick latrine, he strutted so manfully you had to know he’d been a bully all his life.
From the top of his 6-foot-1 frame, with its thinning blond hair, to his snuggly fitting red and white wrestling boots, Marty kicked butt more methodically than any grappler of his generation.
He most often finished matches in his later years with his co-called gourd buster or DDT, thereby forfeiting the finishes that fans might have preferred: a figure four leg lock or a Boston crab, submission holds he could have held.
With a figure four he could have rocked back repeatedly and yanked on a jobber’s efficiently immobilized boots. With a crab, he could have tucked the jobber’s boots under his armpits and mashed his bottom against the jobber’s bottom in triumphant domination and pumped up and down on the backside of the body he straddled.
Just as the magnificent George The Animal Steele was proficient at stomping left arms into putty, Marty developed a passion for inflicting pain on muscled left arms.
Marty would nail a jobber’s left hand to the mat with his tight left boot while using his right boot to teach the jobber’s left biceps what’s what. He’d stomp the stuffings out of an immobilized arm.
Jobbers had to admire his cocky strain of merciless manliness, but only before and after tussling with the maestro. During the match the jobbers, so often cowering at their master’s boots, looked up at Marty’s muscular chest and often seemed on the verge of soiling themselves in fear.
What could they grab onto to right themselves - one of his tree-trunk legs as he prepared to impose his will by resuming the wreckage?
Marty regularly hoisted a jobber into the air, bracing the jobber’s left arm behind the back and then slamming the guy to the mat on the already-wounded wing.
The Marty would roll the victim over onto his belly, twist the left limb back and as high up the jobber’s back as it would push, pressuring and pressuring it until it threatened to snap.
Jobbers would pound their free right hand on the mat in agony as Marty twisted and pushed and pummeled in an escalating wave of discipline.
When a jobber laid limp and helpless at his master’s boots, Marty stood triumphantly with his hands on his hips, assessing his conquest and planning dessert.
Marty would lower himself toward the mat momentarily to wrap an opponent's wounded arm around one of his tight boots, stand straight again, pause arrogantly to prolong the anticipation and then hurl himself backward to the mat.
The pain would shoot from the jobber’s forearm to his biceps, shoulder, neck and back, and he’d arc up and back in a rippled spasm of agony.
Marty himself was pleased by his productive gesture, so he’d stand, work the limp arm into another vulnerable position around his boot and throw himself backward again. The screams lashed the air. Master at work. He seemed to taunt the jobbers writing beneath him: "You want some more, buster? I'm here to satisfy the audience, and they want it." The Punisher obliged.
Marty’s trunks were a trip in themselves, especially the white ones. His bubble buttocks packed the rear so muscularly that every ripple of his butt creased the shorts, as when he strutted.
And no one could overlook the front of those white trunks when his ample organ moved within from side to side as he strutted, assessed the damage at his feet and mapped a he-man's plans for the afflicted.
His was the handiwork of a dedicated heel, a boss stud with his incomparably rock-hard handsome mug and menacing glare.
He could have flexed the pecs on his stocky frame, and maybe he did. What he never did after winning a submission was to return to a jobber’s broken body and administer more discipline. Instead he’d raise his muscle-bound arms in triumph and saunter off to the showers indifferently.
Even beef his size can be tender.

What Arn is doing here is a promo in which he's looking into the camera and telling everyone what he's going to do and why you should watch.
A good example is UFC. What those guys do are promos in which sports entertainment used to be.

Now-a-days if the title doesn't change in 30 days people are losing their minds. I liked wrestlers holding the belt for long periods because it made you think they were as good as they said the were.
