In my culture, a young girl gets her first pearls from her father when she is a teen. If they belonged to her grandmother, even better. She will get her second pearls on her wedding day from her husband. This is either a double strand or pearl earrings. Such a lovely custom.

I was gifted a Pearl necklace by my aunt at 18 then pearl studs when I turned 21. They are my most treasured possessions.

In Algeria they sell gold per gramme as Egypt and there is a lot of italien gold in here (they copy and make the same designs as Cartier and tiffany and co and sells them per gramme so much much cheaper than the designers prices ,was wondering if it's the same thing in Egypt (

Amen to quality over quantity! That's my motto as well. I've recently had this similar discussion with a new friend of mine who loves genuine jewelry as do you and I. No more costume jewelry, at the end of the day it looks pretty but the a longevity isn't there. I have quite a few costume pieces I really do enjoy wearing, however ever since 2022 arrived something changed in me where I no longer desire to buy or even wear those kind of pieces any longer. Though I'm keeping what costume I have for now.
I do own way more genuine luxury jewelry than costume. I've inherited copious gold past down to me, as family culture custom. So I'm opting in to add more unique jewelry items to my palette there.

[1]Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them...
    Genesis 2:12
[12]And the GOLD🪙 of that land is GOOD: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
You're very similar to myself, I love some of the jewelry you mentioned there: i.e. gold, gemstones like amethyst, turquoise, etc. I'm not huge on pearls but enjoy wearing black (peacock) Tahitian pearls and golden south sea pearls, I'm not a big fan of white or pink pearls nor diamonds especially clear colorless diamonds. I love genuine gems with color, and I do enjoy wearing silver as well, moreso vintage or antique genuine silver finds, foreign jewelry handmade, handcrafted, hand carved with unique design. Timeless pieces I can keep in my collection for decades. : ) ❤️

In my opinion, South Sea pearls are better than freshwater pearls.

Amethysts and rose quartz are semi-precious stones, not precious stones.

I disagree with your thoughts on pearls. south sea pearls, akoya pearls and tahitian pearls are better than freshwater pearls. freshwater pearls have no value

If you want a 'lab grown' diamond, you may as well save your money and just buy a cubic zirconia in my opinion.
