"Judgement Day" shows the improvements of LOVEBITES 2.0, they've not just restarted after Covid and the band's hiatus after Miho left the band, but they've leveled up on so many details, setting new standards. And there's more to come, for sure! I have no idea, why they are not bigger and well known. I needed an arbitrary TH-cam reaction, that I watched only by chance, just to know them. They have all components for being over the top superstars, so what's missing? Great production, well produced videos, world class mixing, devoted fan base, unlimited talent, good songwriting, almost perfect performances, good live abilities. What the heck is wrong with this world? Is it just a failing promotion? I have no idea, but I'm addicted!

I’ll throw another band into the mix for this particular song…Motörhead. I really liked it when you pointed out that there are few if any bands putting out metal music of this standard, and all original material. A Metal Hammer article of 24 metal albums to make waves in 2023 doesn’t include “Judgement Day” the album this song comes from. I suggest you listen to it straight through because trust me, it’s 80’s heavy metal done with 2020’s panache and played to a standard the bands you mentioned have never reached. Oh, and then if you have a subscription to Metal Hammer…cancel it.
You're not off at all regarding their style. Lovebites is the best band I've ever heard modernize the 80's metal music scene. They blend power/speed/thrash/heavy metal to perfection. Miyako & Midori are, in my opinion, the best dual lead guitarists ever (yes, IMO better than Priest, Maiden, etc). I think Lovebites has the best collection/catalog of riffs in metal that I've heard in the 50+ years I've been listening to metal. This song is awesome. My favorite song off of this album is the title track, "Judgement Day" - th-cam.com/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/w-d-xo.html . I think their heaviest song to date is also off this album, "Dissonance" (audio track only) - th-cam.com/video/cjl-4LzBPR0/w-d-xo.html .
