Going back to the old puzzleboard would be a horrible idea because the monitor puzzleboard is much more effective in that it could load in puzzles without needing to stop the taping to put in new letters and having the contestants turn around so they couldnt see the puzzle. Also the electronic puzzleboard allowed for more types of gameplay elements to be used. I think a better idea though would be to use a modernized version of the old borders, either the 80s or 90s version since the current one looks pretty bland with the plexiglas and neon. Also the shopping format would be a terrible idea too since its much easier to take home winnings in cash rather than take prizes that you don't know what to do with them, you also have to pay shipping for the prizes. Really bringing the old set back is the best idea you have, although there was also some pretty good sets in the 90s and 2000s as well. They should also bring back the old cues.
A Night To Remember (1958 Titanic Film) 14:41

And people use the money how they want to; buy whatever they want, gifted to family, go on vacation, pay debt etc

0:23 a prize you will never see again on Wheel of Fortune.
Or any game show really, ESPECIALLY The Price is Right.
Vanna Always Looks Beautiful in a Fur
Was this the last show with the shopping format?
On nighttime version: 10/2/87
On daytime version: 6/30/89.
The shopping format would never work in 2023 since most prefer to win cash and get their own prizes.
