I love how respectful she is and paying tribute to Selena so many years after she did the movie. You can tell that Selena was a big influence on her whether it was from playing her in the movie or if it was even before that, this just prove how much she loves and recpects Selena
I think she sang the song beautifully, she did it with grace. Yes she's not a powerhouse singer but she sang it the best way she knew how. Still gave me chills.

I watched this when it first aired on NBC back in 2001. It was hard not to feel emotional when Jennifer sang the song.
J-Lo is full of emotion singing this song. It is really from the heart. You can see it in her face and eyes. But she cannot translate that emotion into the song as Selena has masterfully done. RIP Selena.

Elizabeth Whiteoak I heard back in the day people were very angry they picked her (a Puerto Rican) over somebody who was Mexican. There apparently was somebody who looked very close to Selena but the problem was she couldn't speak a word of English (no idea if she even acted before). Everyone calmed down when they showed a Pre screening of the movie and were more open to the idea. I believe the movie wouldn't be the way it was if it wasn't for J Lo. It's sad as time passes people don't know this. I think it's amazing how she still reminds / educate people about how she got where she is now.
Maybe I was too young to know about Selena. I had never heard of Selena, even if I did I didnt remember. I love JLO and wanted to watch her films and came across Selena. Realized Selena was a wild, free girl, happy great singer a great soul. Made me cry. I wish the movie had better ending but thankful that they made it.

I will be making my way from Australia to Corpus Christi this year in July. To pay my respects to Selena. Ive listened to her music other ther years both English and Hispanic. Seen the movie and watched documentarys.
Omg I literally came here to do just that . February 26, 1995 I was so blessed to have attended what would be Selena’s last concert here in Houston at the Astrodome. It was my co-worker who literally talked me into going , I didn’t know who she was and I was new to Houston Texas moving from L.A. . Pictures of that Goddess can’t even come close to how beautiful she was . It wasn’t but a month later that the news of her passing devastated me I couldn’t understand I felt like I just seen her . Till this day I haven’t been back to Rodeo . Every spring around Easter I get so tearful so I play her music it’s in my playlist. I could Fall in love is that one song I wish that she did a video or I would do anything to see her perform it . No one can replace her but J.lo captures a certain essence about her that I feel no else can 🌹R.I.P. ✨ Selena Gone to Soon 🌹🌹🥀

Me, native of New Orleans, and im 42 years old black woman. I was about 14 when Selena was unexpectedly murdered. Honestly, I didn't know Selena until my family's bff friend played that song & I fell in love with it. So, a few weeks later, into March, that was when I learned about her murder & she was exactly the same age as my older sister. I remembered seeing Selena's beautiful smile on the news article or newspaper in the grocery story & I grabbed it, just thinking she looked very beautiful. Then this movie came out & i was about 16. Man, I appreciated JLo & I understood Selena's story. Selena was full of life, very determined & never backed down to negatives. She was definitely the force of nature. ❤❤❤
